What was Obito thinking?
Let's just take a big step back and rewind from what's going on right now, before the battle that's raging right now.
Obito starts the fourth Shinobi world war without the eight and nine tails.
His only army is the 100,000 white Zetsu clones and the last four remaining members of the Akatsuki, including himself.
Thanks to Kisame's sacrifice (R.I.P) it was revealed to Obito, the whereabouts of Naruto, and Bee.
This information led Obito to decide to sacrifice his Zetsu army to lure out the Jinchuriki using Naruto's ability to sense negative emotions...Smart.
So this means that at the end of it, it would be Black Zetsu, White Zetsu and Obito vs the entire Shinobi Alliance plus two Jinchuriki
It is only thanks to Kabuto, through capturing Yamato to strengthen the Zetsu army (Which Obito wasn't really bothered about himself, Yamato was just at the wrong place at the wrong time) and his Edo tensei that Obito was met with such success.
Let's remember that Kabuto revived the Gold and Silver brothers to fight, who coincidentally had had Kurama's chakra within them.
It is only thanks to this that Obito got that Chakra.
Plus that Kabuto revived Madara, which Obito has shown no signs of intending to do so (Who is wreaking havok right now, just look at the Shinobi H.Q)
What was he thinking?
He didn't even have the Rinnegan when he declared war so he would be unable so summon the Gedo Mazo.
So this makes the eye in the moon plan impossible.
It was all coincidence and luck that Obito got this far, Obito either has the forsight of Forneverworld or he's just a presumptuous ****!.
How did he intend to control the Juubi, whilst fighting the Shinobi Alliance and seal the Juubi inside himself whilst standing still?
The Fourth Shinobi war - The war of coincidence.
I've loved the war so far, but Obito clearly doesn't know what he's doing.
Hats off to Kabuto really.
Just thinking out loud, no rage please.
Thoughts?

Re: What was Obito thinking?
His plan was also to take Madara's rinnegan from Nagato so that he can summon the Gedo Mazo!

And he assumed he would be able to take the two Jinchuriki on at the same time and then get the Rinnegan without dying?

Re: What was Obito thinking?
His plan was to start the war and have the Zetsu infiltrate the alliance so that only Naruto would be able to find the infiltrators, forcing the alliance to send out Naruto. His original plan did not require the gold and silver brothers.

Yes, my point is that he thought that after sacrificing his army he thought he could take everyone on by himself

Madara: even if you don't awaken the rinnegan you can still control the Mazou

Re: What was Obito thinking?
He got Madaras eyes without Kabuto's help... So we can assume this was always part of hus plan, so he would have the gedo plus 6 paths too

The Rinnegan alone just isn't enough to take on TSA

Cognitive abilities come at a price I suppose.
In all seriousness, give the guy a brake, sure he's certainly not a looker but he's working with what he's got.
Plus I don't watch him bassed on looks.
