and I agree, Sakura might not deserve to be hated, but she's not important to the plot at all, and is useless as a character..

I mean the friggin Ramen Guy is far more important and has had a bigger role :D :D

The problem with arguments contending her medic skills, which is something those of us who dislike her generally do not contest, is that its fcking boring; this is a shonen martial arts genre manga/anime, we expect battle feats from the main characters and especially heroes/heroines. Sakura has literally done nothing prominent, by which I mean which distinguishes her from any other female in the series, wrt battle except in a single arc in all of the manga.
