I see the benefits, but those benefits can be obtained other ways. The risk of the pig FAR outweigh that the benefits. Yeah you get Zinc, but you get a life time of worms living in you, high protein? come on, thousands of better foods you can get protein from. you can list a few facts that state its good for you, but an in depth report will show that the benefits are nothing compared to what it will do to you in life

there is a man called minister Farrakhan who does more work than the average American and is 79 years old. His hair is fully in, looks like he is forty. very healthy man, can tell he will live a long life. I don't see him all crippled, unable to walk, not enjoying himself. its the opposite.

u have to stop saying there is worm in every pig.. srlsy its like saying every chicken has Salmonella... yes eating a lot of pork higtens your chance of geting the worm.. but not just from eating it once (unless really unlucky), where u get it from has a huge as deal about the healtness of the pig..

Yes, I do. And good question. Everyone dies at one point. Even living healthy doesn't ensure a long life. I could make a list of things that are bad for you, which basically everyone still does.

To be honest, I can't predict what my opinion on this matter is in about 10 years. Who knows, I might've changed. But for now I'm still carefree, and my mind is firm.

Meat in general yeah we definitely do with the exception of pork and dog meat and monkeys if I remember correctly lol. For me it's more of a cultural thing than religious.

I can post thousands of articles from multiple sources stating the exact same facts, why are you so bent on discrediting this thread? Does the truth of your lovely pig bother you that much?

I think that you pulling articles from a religious/spiritual website is why you feel folks are dismissive. Why are you being so dismissive of their ability to live a healthy enjoyable life eating pork.

Folks with religious beleifs are not easily swayed, so although they may express their desire to live life their way, we all know that you will live life your way.

But posting a second link with some of the same names and the same religious/spiritual overtones only signals to readers that this is not a disucssion that will impact "your truth" regardless of reason, science, and civil disussion on our side. I previously explained why religions make such rules. I could look further on the unclean animal list and explain why bottom feeding fish (accumaltor of toxins and heavy metals) and shellfish (a popular allergy among humans) are prohibited but you fail to understand that my point. I was trying to explain it was good that religions made such wholesale restrictions before science understood why foods made some folks sick. I now think of such restrictions as tradition, and hoped you would see it as such.

I would honor you if you followed such a tradition. I pity you if you are so blind that you cannot see how your restrictions were developed and why others donot feel obligated to follow them.

Sigarettes are bad also, yet Iv seen people who are over 100 year and smoke a cigarette each day, same can be said about alcohol.
I knew an old guy (hes dead now tho) he lived to be 108 years , his recipé for his long life was a shot whiskey everyday.

I am glad I dont eat pork a lot. Nothing against it, but I just prefer chicken and steak. There are the goods and bads in everything. I just think pork has a little more reasons to be disliked imo.
