Secondly, Orochimaru explained to Minato how he broke the seal by saying that he examined the hidden scrolls of the Uzumaki clan. There was nothing such as 'a slap in the face' or 'putting someone in check' in Orochimaru's answer.

Minato should address Orochimaru respectfully. He is his senior afterall and his Sensei never gave up hope that he would be able to bring Orochimaru back. We don't know if Hiruzen ever discussed with Minato what he found in Oro's lab when he let him go.

One thing about Asian culture. You may surpass your seniors level, but your senior is always your senior. Some things are beyond your ability or talent to change and you must accept that. This makes Tobirama's tone taken with Hashirama all the more extreme. I think that Minato's tone here is to further emphasize the way in which Tobirama is addressing Hashirama.

Orochimaru had to put Minato in check quite fast, I thought he was going to slap him.

Not only did he get set Minato striaght in trying to play him, but Orochimaru clowned "his jutsu" he found a way to reverse DRS in his downtime. BOSS

kushina already confirmed this when she said she taught minato the jutsu, and im pretty sure somewhere in the manga it was stated that minato taught hiruzen(i think hiruzen said it himself). it is well known that the uzumaki excel at sealing jutsu so i expect most, if not all sealing techniques to come from them.
