In this chapter his eyes had the pattern of his regular ms, but he transplanted Itachi's eyes. I don't quite understand what's going on here?

If he activates his MS it will have to be EMS with itachi's pattern, after all he did transplant itachi's eyes. I think it's an error. Kishi needs a break...

I thought it was a drawing mistake but it has happened before. Just after itachi is released from Edo it happens again. It started happening after itachi touched sasuke for the last time. Maybe itachi took his chakra back, thus taking ems away from sasuke. Sasuke did say when they were first transplanted that he could feel itachi's power flowing into him.

Remember when madara first encountered the alliance, he could switch between normal sharingan and ems. Well it appears sasuke can switch between 3-tomoe, normal mangekyo, and eternal mangekyo sharingan

look at madara uchiha he transplant his brother eyes but still have his mangekyo sharingan because even after transplant, a ems user will still possess his ms abilities or eyes shape in both eyes and change to ems if he/she wants.

Sasuke had no need of showing the EMS as the Senju wouldn't notice the difference between MS and EMS.

Well I didn't know he could control which to use. I thought he had to use ems. Even then, why would he use ms and not ems?
