Itachi is one of the best and that's quite obvious I think.
But he is the wisest amongest all and he is in top 7 so that makes him op and my fav and he OS smart as hell. I just love his attributes. He is number one for me.

itachi will die out of chakra exhaustion even before using all of the techniques you mention. you keep mentioning izanami as if there's no drawback to it.

FYI, he'll get blind after using that.

One of the best - yes but never THE best. Most sacrificing shinobi - definitely true. Genius - absolutely correct. He's one of the ninjas who can stand up against Tobi alone. Saying something about Itachi throughout the series, he never wanted WAR. He annihilated his entire clan with the help of Tobi to prevent the uprising. He defeated Kabuto who's on serpent mode with the help of his brother to release Edo Tensei and stop massive bloodbath. He carried out his mission to maintain peace and order with the cost of losing family , joined akatsuki as a spy, accepted to be called a criminal to the village and a traitor to his brother - all of these are according to plan. He understood the meaning of a shinobi and, of course, the history of his clan at an early age probably the reason he was able to awaken his eye jutsus earlier than any Uchiha. He never had any original jutsu though he knows a lot of powerful techniques. I can say crows are pretty cool. He learned these powerful eye techniques but studying the history of his clan. There could probably more if it weren't for his medical conditions and be released from Kabuto's Edo. By the way, he didn't escape from Edo Tensei. He just broke from Kabuto's control using Shisui's eye.

Itachi is not the best but one of the best:y.
Given that he died quiet young and before death he was seriously ill, we don't know how he would had been if he was as healthy as MENATO, 1ST, 2ND, 3RD or NARUTO himself. He would had been as opponent to beat. Then we could have said "He is the Best". But for now he is one of the best
