I've grown listening to ppl talking about how mighty United Sates of America are and how developed they are compared to the rest of the world (Japan, Germany & South Korea not included, of course) and just a few minutes ago i was checking a thread talking about the U.S military funds and how big it is.
I love America though i don't live there, but seriously: does America REALLY need such an enormous amount of money wasted on military R+D? Which country would be crazy enough to attack them? They have the most advanced army in the world, the second one in manpower....then again: why is that amount of money necessary?:confused:

Well, have you ever thought that the U.S. has to have the best army in order to make wars , in order to make money, in order to avoid a new economical crash?

@kyo4 simulations have been run of a hypothetical non nuclear war with china. Even in our economical situation we still destroy the Chinese navy and Air Force. We are only turned back when we attempt to invade china. They couldn't invade us because we'd sink their ships and blow up their air planes. Even if they managed to get over here they couldn't invade us successfully. We've all got guns and will not be conquered.
