Why the Nagato hate?

dislike his fans all you want, thats up to you but i dont get people calling him a TnJ'd puss. so changing your ways and realising you are wrong means your a puss but staying an evil insane sociopath like sasuke, madara, itachi and orochimaru means your super duper awesome and will have everyone try to justify your every horrific crime?

i see it as nagato being intelligent, sensible and mature for once. going evil but then seeking redemption at the end is IMO harder than following one single path your entire life. villains will always be in denial, and nothing is ever their fault since they are the "good guy". but then nagato has met this child who has refused to kill him and is showing him mercy despite his numerous necessarily evil crimes against his village. that amazes him since he believes humans are inherently douchebags and warmongers. so he decided he could die knowing naruto would at least try to handle things. even towards the end, nagato kept questioning naruto about peace and war and told him about what war is. the fact he was actually the second child of prophecy means he was always destined to help achieve peace in his own way. in actuality his personality wasnt that much altered. naruto simply restored his faith in jiraiya which was lost due to yahikos death and obito's manipulations. nagato always wanted peace, it just took naruto to show him he doesnt have to do it all alone.

Your thread makes no sense. Nagato is respected by many people. And your list of villains is also inaccurate. Itachi was not a villain. Itachi was a boss who protected his village. Don't start hating on Itachi just for the sake of it just because you're a Nagato fanboy/girl.

And yes, I like Nagato... and as someone mentioned already... he has been forgiven for murdering Jiraiah.

so an itachi hater must automatically be a nagato fan? itachi was a sociopath who ONLY protected his village and he didnt even do that very well since his only noble act in his whole life that made a difference was genocide. the rest of the time he was being selfish and torturing kids so he could be put out of his misery by said kid. there was also NO reason for his torture of kakashi other than general douchebaggery.
tell me, is konoha half destroyed right now? yes. could itachi have prevented that by doing something about obito sooner either with KA or izanami? yeah. did he? no.
could he have done more to protect the foreign jins knowing they were being hunted down and knowing he had a link to someone who could try and protect them (danzo)? no. he sat there and merely aided international criminals.
is he responsible for sasukes current state and did he approve sasukes plans of genocide? yes and yes.

The problem with nagato was that he was a major villain, who soloed the leaf village in less than an hour, and then he got talk no jutsued and revived everyone, even the ones with important deaths(Kakashi)

unlike nagato, itachi cant admit he was wrong and misguided. he is stil loving sasuke, a monster he created and approved genocide. all he said is "i failed". so i bet if sasuke went back and everything, edo itachi would not have said shi*, he probably would ahve been like "yay" and moved on. thought nothing of his preivous crimes to get sasuke to that point based on a lie. he didnt want sasuke to work for anytghing or stay sane. what meaning is there in being some '"hero' of konoha if sauske did nothing heroic and killed a spy? it disgraces uchihas even more and proves itachi had no respect or trust for sasuke. and despite all this, despite his seflish desire to help konoha and nothign else, despite his torture and corruption saauske, kishi still acts like hes teh best hero eva. GTFO. he did nothign to help the surviving jins and destablise akatsuki. you have tsukiyomi, totsuka and izanami, what the fuk are you afraid of?
