The end of the shinobi known as Kisame Hoshigaki
Kisame remained helpless as Aoba pressed deeper into his memories, and was inching closer to discovering Madara's identity. Truth be told, he was rather ashamed of himself to be captured alive by that Green Beast and forced into such a position like this: shackled down, rendered immobile, repressed with Yamato's retched Mokuton.
It was ironic really. He had spent his entire ninja life as a Mist Shinobi with the Cypher Division, taught by Fuguki Suikazan, and ordered specifically and exclusively to defend the Code from enemies and foes alike by any means necessary.
And this meant that slaying the very ones he was charged to protect was an option that was most certainly left on the table for consideration.
Deep within his invaded mind, Kisame growled as the Leaf shinobi pressed deeper into his mind, intent on finding the information that they sought. Kisame knew what he had to do, to protect his intel, to protect his comrades; to protect his dream. With a mighty and swift gathering of resolve and sheer willpower at a level incredible for even the one dubbed the 'Monster of the Hidden Mist' and the 'Tailless Tailed Beast', Kisame forced himself to break free of Aoba's intrusion--by biting off his own tongue.
In an instant afterwards, all Hell broke loose.
Aoba was thrown to the ground violently as Kisame surged what remaining strength he had and broke free of his Wood style shackles: an impressive feat for any talented Shinobi.
Aoba shouted something hysterical to his Konoha comrades, and Gai, that strange Green Beast Gai, rushed forward to subdue Kisame, but Kisame was already commencing his Suiton jutsu.
Gai's punch was blocked by the large volume of water that swirled from out of Kisame's bloodied gullet, which entrapped Kisame within a water prison. In the blink of an eye, Kisame had summoned several of shark companions from the summon realm; those sharks who had battled by his side on more than one occasion in the past by his and Itachi's side. Kisame coughed up another spout of blood, and his Summon companions instantly realized what he wanted from them.
And in that moment, everything seemed to slow down, and then stop.
"Itachi-San...it's just like you said..." Kisame hoarsely thought to himself as he suddenly remembered back to his first encounter with the mysterious Uchiha that would be his partner within the Akatsuki. He remembered their less-than-cordial and borderline threatening introduction to one another.
"Perhaps you were right about me all along, Itachi-San...I was a rogue, wandering...lost in the mist...without a place to belong..."
He remembered his understanding of Itachi. He remembered how Itachi explained that one does not know what kind of person they are until the moment they embrace death.
"Itachi-San...did you realize what kind of person you were right before you died?..." Kisame sported a wide grin as his summons descended on his bloodied form. "It seems that in the end...I'm not so terrible after all..."
And darkness took him.
Kisame chuckled to himself as he feel deeper and deeper. He really wanted two things to occur before his passing: he wanted Madara's 'Project Tsuki no Mi' to become a reality and create a world with no lies, and he wished for that strange Green Beast from Konoha, with whom he bore such an abhorrent grudge over the last several years, to remember his name, just once...
As Kisame fell deeper, he took notice at how the light had all but dissipated, and the Darkness grew ever blacker.
Kisame had always liked the Darkness anyways. Not because he was a Shinobi though; the Darkness offered sanctuary and was very enticing and calm...
Kisame realized in that very moment as his Life finally ebbed away that the Darkness held no lies for him--that he had truly, finally found a place to belong.
