Minor plothole

In this panel Sasuke says that he learned the truth about Itachi from Tobi and Danzo. IF you remember Danzo's flashbacks him and Hiruzen we're best friends/rivals. Earlier in the flashback you see Danzo, Hiruzen, and Tobirama all together. So Tobirama definitely knew Danzo. Now when Sasuke mentioned him, shouldn't Hiruzen or Tobirama said something? Like: "Why would Danzo reveal top secret info to you?". I know this is a very minor complaint but you'd think that Hiruzen would want to know what Danzo is up to.

Hiruzen- "Danzo? why would Danzo tell you such a secret?!"

Sasuke- "I made him tell me right before i killed him"

I couldn't really think of a better word for it but the fact that it didn't happen doesn't really make sense. Like what if Kakashi was there and they mentioned gai? Or Naruto was there and they mentioned Sasuke?

Its not a plot hole. Tobi had already told Sasuke the truth and danzo confirmed it. Even if Danzo didnt say anything he still would of heard it from Itachi when he was brought back to life. Besides wasn't Tobirama dead before any of that happened? Yeah I'm pretty sure he was.

Well tell me why would hiruzen say that? If Tobi had already told him. Danzo just confirmed it. I read the thread so I dont see how I misunderstood it? Unless you can explain it to me in a better way.

As two people have mentioned, Hiruzen has no knowledge of Tobi, at all. Everyone who encountered Tobi during the fox attack was killed and they were never able to relay any of that information to Hiruzen. Like Jiraiya, the entirety of the village still believed it was a random attack, Jiraiya only started suspecting something different near the end of his life.

So yes its a bit of a plot inconsistency considering Hiruzen shouldn't know who Tobi is and the fact that Danzo would not have normally released the information. Therefore, I agree with the OP that the conversation called for more clarifying panels, but considering it was all information that we readers already knew, than no space was dedicated to it.

I wouldn't say it's a plot hole and their conversation is not done yet, so there might be more to come. We only heard the most from the 1st and 2nd Hokage so far. The 3rd and 4th haven't really said a lot.

well ..... i don't understand how is this a plot hole. tobirama did know danzo coz he was danzo's sensei, and dazo like every villain has to talk and reveal everything (ya i know ..... these villains even explain their abilities sometimes lol) thinking it doesn't matter coz he will win anyway. now i like the scenario you just created, and we might actually see it in the next chapter (there is still room for that)

You can't claim something is a plot hole just because a person didn't answer a question as you expected them to. The reasons why Danzo told Sasuke that are irrelevant anyway. Sasuke wanted to hear about it from Hiruzen, and that's the answer that he gave him.

That's not a plothole because it seems pretty easy to explain to me: It could not be that big a deal. If Sasuke got the truth from two people, then it's not like Danzo had to be the one who spilled everything. It's reasonable to assume Hiruzen thought maybe Sasuke confronted Danzo after hearing it from Tobi first, to try to confirm the truth ... exactly what he's continuing to do with the Hokages. It's apparent Sasuke still doesn't know everything.
