But in the long run Obito knew Kabuto would edo tensei Itachi. Which is why he tried to take Konoha so fast. After words he stalled Naruto and co at the Kage Summit, but had to save Sasukes ass.

that kid's scared of itachi. the kid didnt even tried to attack konoha and manipulated sasuke when itachi was still alive coz he's scared as a puss coz the man would whoop his ass the moment he break their deal. the kid's so scared that he's so careful not to show itachi some of his abilities coz he know for a fact that itachi would rape him. he even admitted that if it's just that itachi knows his secret he'll be a dead man.
