Pt.1 Gaara was a Beast

I just watched the Naruto/Sasuke vs. Gaara fight again.

Gaara beat Sasuke, and then Tied with Naruto.
Two of the main Characters were manhandled by Gaara...
Gaara solo'd Sasuke. Sauske had to hide behind a Tree 80% of the fight like a Punk.
Naruto got smacked around for 50% of the ground fight, and then he finally started fighting back.
Then they used their summons which ended up as a tie, but Narruto broke Gaara's Bijuu.
Then they finished off on the treetops with a tie.
I liked that fight.

*It seemed like Gaara was the strongest Pt.1 Genin. What do you think?

Do not agree. Gaara was being controlled by the beast within him unlike Naruto who always used Nine tails chakra under his own control. So, it was more like a fight b/w One tails and naruto+sasuke. I would say they did fairly well.

if you would watch one of the episodes it says if the Jinchuuriki of the 1 Tail ever goes to sleep the 1 Tail would have full control over them, but since Gaara never went to sleep, he was himself throughout the whole fight until he went to sleep

I didnot say he was unconscious but he was not in control - more like being semi conscious. The fight is almost like Naruto fighting Orochimaru in Naruto Shippuden. You really dont think that was NAruto's power there. He even hurt Sakura in that state. (I hope you have seen that already)

Pt 1 gaara had no control of the one tail. But he was strong . remember kurama didn't get involved in that fight

I agree, though I always like to remember people rock lee was one of the better genin in part 1 too.
He fought evenly for a LONG time with Gaara in the match ups.
People often take him lightly too

Literally he was beast back then but now that he don't have the shukaku of the sand.. He is a fine and even more powerful shinobi

Garra still is BA and easily one of the top shinobi, people just underestimate his abilities far too much.

I wouldn't even consider him or his siblings genin level anyway, especially Temari and Kankuro

They were like 15/16 taking the exam with a bunch of 12 year olds. They probably had to hold out on getting promoted to wait to get on a team with Gaara or something, but I didn't like all three of them in part 1

naruto was a boss in that fight you could see how big his charkra is sasuke turned into a weak little ***** after that

You better look again Gaara could not move,Naruto was crawling to finish Him off and Sasuke stop Naruto and told Naruto to just leave Him their. Gaara later said Naruto was stronger because He cared for people, it change Gaara's life.

Gaara was amazing in part 1. That's how you write a villain, have them actually be a threat to your main characters. He was the best bad guy in Part 1 after Orochimaru.

Part 1 naruto and a little of shippuden naruto wae being contrilled by the fox anything past 4 tails he didnt recgonize friend or foe. He almost killed jiriryia

he was beastin when he fought naruto & sasuke too... Things changed when i saw him battle Kimmimaro tho... >>>

I still think Neji would've been an interesting fight to Gaara as well.
