Well, so Madara and Hashirama were friends... considering all those parallels I guess next chapter we are going to see Mito chasing after Madara, and Hashirama chasing after her. Yep, nothing better than a new love triangle.

Great chapter though. I knew that Hashirama was stronger than Madara, but Im really surprised by how much.

Boring fight, everyone has the same backstories and a flashback within a flashback (seriously, can't Sasuke interrupt Hashirama? It'd be amazing).

Poor chapter, I give it a 1/5. It would be a 2/5 if the fight ended this chapter, or if it didn't lead into ANOTHER flashback - and given Kabuto's and Obito's recent flashbacks, I doubt this little origin story will be any better than theirs.

Maybe that's what he used to bring down the thousand hands? I'm assuming madara isn't even done yet. For all we know, this fight only ended because one(most like madara)/both of these guys ran out of chakra and had to concede defeat

It seems that Madara is ticked off by Hashiramas pompous character, which obviously tries to state that he is higher than Madara in the food chain.

Don't know about the thousand hands though, why would he summon it, doesn't he have enough hands already? Though a thousand i guess is more than enough to capture nine tails.

It won't be by much both parties were injured after the fight (madara being more, maybe?), no-one died. showing us that they were near even.

Or, you know, those who are vocal about their discontent never wanted a flashback in the first place? I most certainly don't want a flashback about Madara and Hashirama. I don't find it interesting whatsoever, especially not their fight.

The only thing I want to know is when Madara managed to take Hashirama to a lab, locate, aquire and transplant his specific 'tree power' cells and then proceed to fake his own death in a credible way.

Besides, I doubt many people wanted yet another Naruto-Sasuke relationship flashback. It's getting old. I don't blame people who wanted a (what they consider) kickass fight, and all they get is a snoozefest.

Yeah, both of them aren't done yet, this is when the fight starts to get serious, yeah well both of them got injured, and one of them probably lost chakra. Remember, Hashirama thinks that madara died during this fight, he dosen't know that he also survived. i wonder what his reaction will be to that. :D

Wow Chapter was way too short and gonna get the flashbacks rolling. Well, I kw already without reading posts that some crazy guys will still complain. Anyone who rates this chapter 3 and below should go for appreciation training. Kishi dont mind them, give us the story.

This chapter showed us a piece of history that draws parallels in all the stories we currently know in Naruto. It shows the basic relationship between Madara and Hashirama, in the past, future and the present.

The past: The flashback has showed us that Madara and Hashi had some kind of basic friendship going on. How those two enemy clans have met in times of war (at least those two kids) is a little of a mystery to me, which gives that meeting even more meaning! The pebble-throwing "contest" also reflects with the thrown bijuu-shuriken.

Also, the battle clearly shows that some kind of bond was forged between those two individuals. To what degree and to what extent is yet unknown, but I'm happy to find out next chapter!

The present: Well, I think we can conclude that the relationship between Madara and Hashirama is still very tense. The reason of this can be found in the way that the 'big battle' was fought. Madara, being emotionally obsessed with pain and suffering, decided to write Hashirama out completely. I think this had its consequences. Madara wants his brother back with his "Eye of the Moon plan" but also wants to be as powerful as Hashirama, as I feel that since that pebble-throwing contest when they were kids, defined the basic relationship between Hasi and Madara (which is that Madara is under Hashi)

The future: The past always repeats itself in the future. I think we are sure to see a legendary re-match between those two. To what proportions this will be fought at, is yet unknown...

Conclusion: This chapter revealed a lot of hidden information that people just glare over very swiftly, resulting in very superficial reviews as: "Another flashback, boo!" or "We already knew they had an epic battle, next chapter, please!"

You realize you DO NOT have to read it, do you? YOU CAN READ IT FOR FREE. At LEAST a basic feeling of gratitude would of be the order. In my opinion, people who ramble and complain hard core (with no arguments) should be banned from these forums permanently...

(Before you call me a fanboy, know that I'm completely capable on giving a chapter a 1/5 if it truly deserves it.)
