Awesome freakish chapter I've been waiting so long for this fight and it was well worth the wait. By far the most epic fight in all of naruto.
Susanoo covered nine tails
Mountains being cut in half as if they were twigs.
Madaras makeshift rasenshuriken
Hashi bringing out chakravartin (lol y'all can't from like his giant thousand hand summon doesn't make you think of chakravartin from Asuras wrath lol)

The epic mess was just so damn much these two are worlds above all other shinobi.

5/5 one of the greatest chapters IMO and its only a flashback

That was a pretty good chapter, imo.
It was a bit too short, but it was enough to keep me entertained for another week.

First of all, to the guy who made a thread about whether Susano'o could cloak a Bijuu, it seems you were right! :D

Hashirama is truly a force to be reckoned with. I never expected anyone else to use Rashōmon, so that was an interesting surprise. Along with Sage Mode, that Mokuton Shinsūsenju was enormous! It looked like something out of Asura's Wraith.
I think that's enough to prove how powerful Hashirama really is.

It was bizarre seeing Madara throw his Susano'o sword into the Bijuudama, almost like a precursor to Rasenshuriken. I'd never have thought a combination like that would work.
I'm not really looking forward to the childhood flashback, but it may prove to be necessary in the next few chapters.

I'd rate this chapter a solid 4/5.

The fact that at first glance I mistook the thumbnail as Sasuke instead of Madara shows how they are making the connection between the two characters. My thoughts on the chapter were that it was a little short at only 15 pages, it is going much faster than the usual fights of the Narutoverse. I believe that the senjustu that Hashirama is a more advanced version of Tsunade's instant healing. This might be the technique of healing without forming signs, as well as probably increasing his strength even more. I'm also interested to see how Izuna will factor into the next few chapters, what was the actual cause of his death, and did he give his eyes to Madara before he died or were they taken after?

Nice foreshadow to what Naruto vs Sasuke will look like. Hashi tried tnj and Madara responded like a boss. Loved the Suasanoo over the 9 tails and how Hashi went all out but didn't have the intent to kill. Great chapter, but for the people saying it's too short... be glad it wasn't a 2 chapter fight. Kishi gave just enough to wet your tongue and not blow the hype around this fight.

For all of those who say no one can stop Hashirama, you are wrong. Kabuto can summon tons of great ninjas that together not even Hashirama could defeat. The sword of totsuka and Tsukuyomi would be a 1 hit KO on Hashi so Itachi beats him as well.

Kishi is a massive troll. He has overpowered hashirama so much that he makes nagato, itachi, the other hokage's and other high level ninja's look fodder.

Gawd this is ridiculous. I remember somebody making a theory about hashirama knowing sm and though it was a good theory i hoped it wasn't true . Giving this mf sm just made him ridiculous.

Whilst others flock to hashirama's fanbase i lose interest in him. Too powerful to be a fan of his imo, but it depends on who you are. Fan of his from part 1, but this is too much

Seems like susano can be worn like an armour. Perhaps sasuke or itachi could have actually wore theirs like how madara made the kyuubi wear it

The "too much OP stuff" is because we are talking about the strongest ninja to have ever existed, outside of the Sage of the Six Paths.

You do realize that these are the ninja that build the modern ninja world, right? What did you expect, them to throw tiny balls of fire and wood at each other?

Though it was nice to see the battle between Madara and Hashi, I think there is a lot to be said for leaving much of that fight to the imagination. Even though it is epic, it doesn't seem to have the legendary impact it once did now that we know all of the details. That coupled with the fact that Orochimaru told Hashi that they were in a rush..... yet he still insists on giving a play by play of his battle with Madara. It's just really unnecessary.

And.... the whole meeting as children thing, I liked it, but it just seems odd. I was always lead to believe that they met as adults and forged an uneasy alliance. On the upside, this was the only part of the issue that advanced the story at all.

As far as Orochimaru>Hashirama, Hashirama would kill him like a small dog. Don't get me wrong I am a pretty big Oro fan. In fact I think he is one of the best fictional villains that has ever been crafted. When it comes to skill, he's got nothing on Hashi.

Hashirama is badass ....compare his SHINSUUSENJU to the size of susanoo armoured kurama ..it is f*cking huge...wonder how many such jutsu he has upto his sleeve

I could never give a chapter like this a 5/5 I am amazed anybody would. I give it a 2/5 which is a shame because I gave the one before this a 4/5. The big fight between madara and hashirama turned aout to be nothing more than a giant game of pokemon or yugiyo ...what a let down. Again instead of classic ninja action this is all about who can summon what and who has the biggest summon. I am heavily disappointed with the fact that the direction is going into the large scale hindu and other eastern gods and myths and I feel like its doing nothing but promoting eastern teaching and has totally abandoned the true ninja and action that naruto mangas had before.

Kishimoto ....seriously stop with the flashbacks I am sure sasuke wanted to hear the truth not sit down and listen to a flashback of when they were kids and here we go again Madara is jealous and feels bitter. Hashirama is care free and friendly. Then the two clash over a girl or over some stupid jealousy competition that gets blown out of proportion .....then they become bitter enemies. How typical can this all get. Now were going to have to brace our selves for what I call manga filler of the two going through everything I described.

The last manga was going somewhere and had us all buzzed in on what the hokages were doing. This one was all about promoting kishis religion and showcasing hashirama has the mystical 3rd eye and the diety with 10000s of arms ......I wanted to see some classic uchiha and senju combat with tiajutsu and swords and flames and moktun style not this crap. 2 out of 5 and lucky I was being generous prepare yourselves for filler both anime and the manga.

Yeah it was short but it was amazing to see their power (specially Hashirama - this guy is just out of this world powerful) and it seems we´re diving into some flashbacks, which I don´t mind, and it´s also a way to foreshadow things between Naruto and Sasuke.
