I don't think that was a summoning. I think he made that thing with his wood style+sage mode.

Why is everyone saying that was a summon? Hashirama created it with his mokuton.

i dont think its a summon, he uses mokuton so it is probably similar to Chirikus technique but at a higher scale. Madara did state that it was a good thing they didnt summon Hashi too because they would wreck, so this was forshadowed already.

BOOM! T'was not a summon... The Gojuu Rashoumon was the summon.

I do believe Hashi says "sempou" which is supposed to translate to "sage arts"

but it's not a summon, it was sage art. senpou means sage art, right? so hashi is a sage. sage of what, we still have to find out. jiraiya & naruto were toad sages, oro & kabuto were snake/dragon sages. hashi could be slug sage? LOL. or could be dragon sage as well but a complete one, unlike kabuto.

Senjutsu was created by the SO6P. The Senju clan being one of his descendants and inheriting his body, adopted the Sage's technique as one of their own.It also means that Hashirama went into an un-killable Sage mode. It is what Tsunade did in the fight against Edo Madara (how she wasn't able to die) and Naruto's Sage mode in 1 but turned all the way up. Did that somewhat answer that for you?

We still don't know how powerful that thing is..... yes, it's Bigger than the kyuubi/susanoo'o but that doesn't make it stronger.
Besides unlike susanoo it doesn't seem to provide defence for the user....
Perhaps a few slash from Madara's susanoo could bring it down....? Not trying to say madara is stronger than hashirama.
