Nah, Gedo is a the shell of the Juubi while the Shinsuusenju is just a jutsu. Personally, I like to call Shinsuusenju the ten thousand ***** slap no jutsu.

Gedo Mazou is the physical shell of 10-Tails sealed by SO6P in moon using rinnegan. Madara awakened rinnegan and summoned 10-Tails shell to earth.
Senpou ShinsuuSenju is Hashirama's jutsu executed by using Mokuton and Sage Technique.

I see what you can derive from the chapter. But no, the Gedo Mazou is a shell of the ten-tails which was summoned by Madara or Obito.
It is not the Shinsuusenju because as we can see from the chapter it is clearly summoned by Hashirama and there is no reason for Hashirama to have the Gedo Mazou; I think.

Thanks for all the attention and reps everyone! I´m also happy for having people talking against my theory because i can´t say i am 100% sure about this theory but i´m trying to figure it out the best i can

Ok, people are claiming that the Juubi was summoned from the prison in the moon.
But why doesn´t the Gedo mazo look anything like the Juubi from the start? Why did it have to transform twice?

First to a fat monster that doesnt even seem to even have legs.



And second A skinny looking guy with only one arm and his face all twisted.


Shouldnt he have looked like the juubi from the start if he was summoned from the moon, in my opinion he resembles the Shinsuusenju way more.
So, i´m still standing with my thoughts that Madara somehow captured the Shinsuusenju and "Modded" him to work as a tailed-beast container (Adding more eyes) etc.
Or maybe even created one of his own after he got his hands on the senju DNA (Uchiha can copy jutsus).

The Gedo Mazo that Nagato summoned right after the death of Yahiko was most likely removed from the hideout during the summon and it was a couple years after Madara had died. We know this since Obito went to meet with Yahiko,Nagato and Konan after Madara died, and Nagato didn't summon the statue until after Yahiko had died.

The Gedo Mazo is the skeleton of the Juubi and is most likely not made by anyone, it was just there like the Juubi. When the Sage divided the Juubi into the 9 Tailed Beasts he saw that the skeleton remained so he sealed it off inside the Moon created with his Chibaku no Tensei.

Then again, the only logical explanation as too what the Statue was in the first place would be that its the skeleton of the Juubi.

gedo means outer path which is the 7th path (outer path)

there are tow gedo tech we've seen sofar, gedo mazo and gedo rinne tensi
hashirama tech is senpo

so they are not related to each other

although I like the idea, no. There is simply no feasible way that they can be the same thing. It is a fact that the sage of six paths sealed the juubi into the moon, so it wouldn't be a stretch that Madara was able to break the seal with the rinnegan. Also, why would he lie about it? There was no reason for him to lie about releasing the juubi. Plus, how could he have possibly made the shinsuusenju into a host for the tailed beasts? This is a point that I want to stress because you are implying that Madara was magically able to make a jutsu into a suitable host for the ten tails. Also, I think you are forgetting that the gedo mazo was constantly releasing chakra even though it was just a shell, which leads me to believe that it was actually the ten tails body since the ten tails is supposedly the progenitor of chakra and life, WHICH leads me to believe that it was NOT the shinsuusenju, unless you are implying that Hashirama was SO STRONG that a jutsu of his (note that his technique is NOT a summon, just an extremely overpowered wood style jutsu) was able to constantly release chakra for a century after his death. If you look at these points, I think you will see that your theory is impossible.
