While we can all speculate about the ending, the biggest tragedy/greatest loss would be the unfinished backstories such as Kakuzu and Hidan's deleted jutsus, what Itachi was reading on the stones, etc. If you look closely, you will notice parts of the story that were sped up and would have had greater detail and story if they had been spread out and drawn a bit more.
