Sleep Paralysis
Has sleep paralysis ever happened to anyone here? It happened to me a couple nights ago and honestly, that was the scariest shit ever. Aside from not being able to move anything but my eyes, the scariest part was that my mind had me thinking there was an evil presence in the room. After I woke up, I got the **** out of there.
If this happened to anyone else here, tell me that stuff wasn't scary, I dare you.

OMG yes!!! I thought I was dying!
I opened my eyes, and I couldn't move, I was like wtf is going on!!!
I couldnt move anything buy my eyes, when I tryed to move, it felt as if I was securely stapped down. I couldnt do anything..
Literally one of my scariest moments.

Re: Sleep Paralysis
Its not scary for me because in my religion this type of occurrences his well known, and most time you get scared when you don't realize what is causing it.

Happend to me once. I had my eyes wide open, I could see everything, and I couldn't move for the life of me. I started hearing this evil Satanic laugh, that kept echoing and building upon itself. I swear I thought Satan was coming to steal my soul O:
It was God awful.

Re: Sleep Paralysis
I've had dreams where I couldn't move, but many where it was hard to breathe, those were the scary ones

Well, one time I could hardly open my eyes, it was highly annoying.
I was dreaming about Justin Bieber.

Re: Sleep Paralysis
Happens if you screw-up with your sleep pattern and wake up when you're not supposed to. There's no evil. It's just very uncomfortable to have your brain scream for a higher heart rate/breathing rate and the body does not respond because it's still asleep. Otherwise, if it happens again, just calm down and try to take deep slow breaths. And don't bother trying to move.

Re: Sleep Paralysis
I haven't personally, but I've woken up and been unable to see for a few minutes and it's really scary because I always think I'm going blind.

Re: Sleep Paralysis
A lot of ppl say that happens because "the devil is riding your back"
I guess that's the religious answer but I'm really interested in the scientific cause

As the guy above said, it is the result of getting your sleeping patterns messed up. Unfortunately, the presence of evil is still there for some, whether real or not. Perhaps sleep paralysis explains alien abductions.

Re: Sleep Paralysis
So that's what it was then... Yeah, I remember one time something really strange happened to me. I had this pressure all over my body, My head felt like about to explode, And even though i was aware of being asleep i was still conscious about it and couldn't wake up or move myself, I couldn't even open my eyes or move at all, Also i felt like suffocating, And my heart was bearly beating O.O
I was gonna die i think.

Re: Sleep Paralysis
When it happens just start breathing harder so your mind thinks your body is awake and you'll wake up

Re: Sleep Paralysis
I have had it happen only a few times. But when it did the first time i was like, ok, why am i not moving? Why is there this pressure on my body. Then after that i was like whatever, and actually found it kinda cool. Sometimes when i am trying to fall asleep, i get the pressure but can still freely move.

Re: Sleep Paralysis
Happend to me about 7 or 8 times in the past 2 years.
The very first time it happened I woke up on my back and ofc couldn't move. At that moment I heard what I thought was my floor creaking looked over and there was a black shadowish figure leaning over me, looking down at me.
I freaked out and immediately snapped out of it and started a barrage of fist into it and ran out the door lol.
