(Kunta Kinte)-Illogical friendships
How can Madara and Hashirama have been close friends when both of their clans were at war. It honestly doesn't make sense, you don't let your kids walk around freely and socialize with other children (incase the friends they meet are from enemy clans). Come on Kishi, not everyone can be friends and then enemies WTF, quit repeating story themes over and over again!
I the great Kunta Kinte now give you the people of narutobase the chance to speak
What are your thoughts?

at that time they didn't know their last names so they didn't know in which clan are they in.

Re: (Kunta Kinte)-Illogical friendships
A child's logic is different from adults, hate is a learned trait and apparently the manga is showing these two individuals before they are completley tainted by the world that they live in. Kids will befriend anyone if they like them regardless of how their parents feel

Re: (Kunta Kinte)-Illogical friendships
I don't agree with you,if you consider Hashirama's personality, he was a child who loved to think differently and loved to follow his own way of life, the way he answered his father clearly proves this..And now back to what you said about Kishi, I think Kishi wants to prove that History repeats itself and I don't believe there is anything wrong in it.

Still, a real grown man never trusts a child to wonder off, esp during war time.

Da hell you talking about.
I was born in a country filled with civil war, and none of our clans mixed up, and children were true killers when they were 6 and 7 (just like Hashirama).
Darood stays with Darood, Hawiye stay with Hawiye, it's as simple as that Warya

Yes there is, when you have endless cycle of the same shit with new characters it gets boring. 1 or 2 times it's cool, but then stuff begins to degrade and stuff.
If you think Kishi is a great writer, then it's sad for me too say it but, you need to read more mangas, son

First I would to welcome you to Naruto, obviously you don't understand how children operate in Naruto so I will run this by you.
First: Child are consider adults by the age of 12-13 because they begin their training at becoming stronger shinobi. Obviously they can walk around freely and do what they because they are shinobi. Tobirama's and Hashirama's one brother died at an age around theirs.
Second: back in the 1920's - 1980's it was common for kids to go where ever the **** they wanted it to. My dad could go anywhere he wanted, but he to be back before 10:00pm. In today's world you have to be concerned about pedo's and killers.
Third: it's a Manga/anime, it's a story, a story that changed and modified whenever Kishi wants to. And if he wants kids in naruto to be similar to those of the 1920's -1980's then by god, he will do so.

Re: (Kunta Kinte)-Illogical friendships
Well they were just little kids. They didn't care. Plus Hashi says that the war is reaching the place where they were playing at. That means it wasn't there yet. He even tried to send his friend home. Kids do not care. And the parents didn't cry over lost kids either. You saw it. They didn't learn to care yet. They were all quite rude.
The kids in the chapter all acted quite smart (except for the lil zetsu guy), smarter than the parents. Plus Kishi drew it like that to show they once had similar thoughts. It's an attempt to make the characters deeper and to put more drama into the following events that separated them.

Re: (Kunta Kinte)-Illogical friendships
It is pretty weird, but they met by a river bank (how romantic...) where anyone had access and originally neither knew the other was a shinobi (I swear this story sounds too much like Romeo and Juliet o_O). After they realised that both were shinobi they still didn't bother as both wanted peace and believed that reaching out and talking to the enemy was important.
Why would clans allow kids to wander off? plot... and possibly if sb wanted to wander off they could do it even at times of war, though most likey nobody was crazy or stupid enough to play the sitting duck, but for Hashirama and Madara... which I suppose showcases their special specialness!
