over 3 years later (almost 4) everything got explained: chapter 689:

I feel a little slow, but wouldn't Doflamingo stepping down also be a forshadow.

When they had the meeting to discuss Crocodile being taken down, Doflamingo mentions that he works with the Marines because it suits him, and when business changes than he'll leave his position...and now he's left because business is turned against him

Ages ago when Doflamingo was talking to Disco- after the slave shop in Sabondy was ruined. Doflamingo mentioned "this is an age of SMILES" . Something that we have recently seen in the manga . ( you know the factory producing fake devil fruits? )

The Foreshadowing of Haki:

- After Shanks saved Monkey D. Luffy, we see the Lord of the Coast rising out of the water ready to attack. Before he could attack, Shanks stares at it, scaring it away. We later find out that it's a form of Haki.

- Mantra, the ability that Enel, and several other characters in Skypiea possessed to predict other's attacks was later revealed that it is a form of Haki.

- Several incidents with haki involved took place after Thriller Bark, such as the meeting of Rayleigh or the Kuja Pirates.

The Foreshadowing of Fishmen:

- During a flashback in the Arlong Park arc, while Nojiko was explaining Nami's past, someone mentions a rumor about the Fishman Pirates splitting up. This is only explained after more than 500 chapters have passed and the Straw Hat Pirates finally reach Fishman Island.

- When Luffy and Sanji were on their way to Arlong Park, the Shichibukai was mentioned and explained. In all of this, Jimbei's name was mentioned as well.

- Fisher Tiger was mentioned about 150 chapters before his introduction.

The Foreshadowing of The Rumbar Pirates:

- A minor foreshadowing was Luffy's wish to get a musician to join the crew.

- The Straw Hat Pirates meet Laboon, who is revealed to have a connection with the newest member Brook.

The Foreshadowing of The Roger Pirates:

- The Strawhat was first owned by the Pirate King, Gol D. Roger.

- Crocus muttered Roger's name to himself when watching the Strawhat Pirates leaving him and Laboon. It is now known that he was part of the Pirate King's crew.

- Shanks and Buggy being a part of the Roger Pirates.

- Rayleigh was first introduced as a pirate in the same crew as Shanks and Buggy. It is now known he was the Vice-Captain of the Roger Pirates.

The Foreshadowing of "The Will of D":

- Minor foreshadowing of the initinal D is the name of the main protagonist, Monkey D. Luffy.

- Doctor Kureha was the first one to mention the Pirate King's true name, Gol D. Roger, revealing a greater meaning to this letter.

- After rescuing Luffy, Nico Robin mentioned the initinal D. It is now known she was talking about the giant Saul when muttering this to Luffy.

The Foreshadowing of "The Voice of All Things":

- On Skypea, Nico Robin found a message written by the Pirate King himself on some old scripts. It was mentioned, over 200 chapters later, that he could write this because of the "Voice of All Things.

- As this was mentioned, Luffy is now known to have this ability as well.

The Foreshadowing of The Execution of Ace:

- As a farewell to Luffy, Ace tells him they're going to meet at the "Pirate Summit", which can also be reffered to as Marineford.

- When leaving the Thriller Bark, Ace was mentioned to be imprisoned in Impel Down.

- While on Shabondy Archipelago, it is several times mentioned there was going to be a war as a result of the execution of Portgas D. Ace.

The Foreshadowing of Blackbeard:

- Blackbeard was first mentioned by Ace in Alabasta Kingdom.

- The meeting of Blackbeard happened around 70 chapters later, though he wasn't known to be the said pirate until soon later.

- Portgas D. Ace was trying to find Blackbeard, which happened around 200 chapters later.

The Foreshadowing of Luffy's Past:

- Dadan was mentioned a few times before her introduction. One of these times was about 200 chapters before Luffy's past.

- Before dying, Ace muttered that if it was not for Sabo and a troublesome brother like Luffy he would not have any will to live. No one knew if Sabo was a person or a place until Luffy's flashback.

- While rescuing Nico Robin on Enies Lobby, Luffy muttered to himself he knew her enemy, The Government, very well. It is now presumed he was talking about the Sabo incident.

- Ace's tatoo had a crossed over S on it. It is now known it was a tribute to Sabo.
