Confirmed: Minato didn't even create FTG

The latest chapter confirms that Tobirama was using a variant of the technique way before Minato was even born. It's likely that Minato probably found scrolls, learned the jutsue and then adapted the technique for himself using kunai instead of a sword (Tobirama may have done this as well later).

Keep in mind this isn't to say that Minato wasn't talented or anything, being able to pull off the technique is a big feat.

Actually you're all wrong. Minato DID create the FTG... you do realize there are multiple techniques which use Space-Time Ninjutsu, Obito and Kakashi have one, and so does Tobirama, they're not called FTG though... that was what Minato named his variation of Space-Time Ninjutsu.

What? They're not the same at all. Chidori is a piercing jutsu that uses a large concentration of lightning style chakra. Rasengan is the condensed form of pure chakra that rotates at high velocities to blow back its target. Also, why go through the trouble of learning Rasengan for himself if Chidori is just a different variant of it?

There are many techniques of the variants of the body flicker. This does not mean that minato did not create ftg, his technique is a stand alone, as well as tobirama's.

Chidori was created because Kakashi couldn't apply lightning to the Rasengan.
