Just beat Storm 3!

Holy cow! What a butchered ending for this game huh? I will say that I did really enjoy the final cinematic sequences for the Kage and Naruto vs Tobi boss fights, but my goodness wasn't that far off! Madara left the Kage's alive, not face down in the dirt/on the verge of death, and then they all go back to HQ like it was nothing. Fast forward to the final chapter and Naruto is handing Tobi his ass all by himself. I'd say it was quite a mistake to end the game this lazily. While there has been a large majority of complaints these past two weeks, the game is overall satisfactory with the exception of the scrambled and altered story line.

I find myself here in wonderment as to how CC2 is going to pick it up and fix it since they made so many plot mistakes(whether intentional or unintentional) throughout the game. I almost don't see any way for them to mitigate this problem unless they drop the development and let someone pave the road for the future of the Storm franchise.

I mean I suppose they could just back track the story in the next game like they've been doing, but I honestly don't wan't to pay $65.00 for the Five Kage Summit or anything else that precedes it(unless it's like a bonus mission feature that can be played outside the adventure). What direction do you folks see this game heading?

I was shocked too at how they altered the ending to the Kage fight and the Tobi fight, however they had their reasons for both. The Madara fight never really had an ending in the manga, at least not until Madara joined in with Obito against Naruto, but that would be way too much to cover in the game and I never expected that; also they needed a way for you to lofically be able to explore the ninja world in free roam, so they had the kage retreat. So I can live with the ending for the Madara fight, and Im curious to see how they tackle the beginning of Storm 4.

The Tobi fight however was very disappointing, but again they had even greater reasons to end it like they did. First of all if they went as far as to end it like with the manga events, it would end on a very large cliffhanger (Tobi's identity), but it wouldnt have been that bad. the main reason why they couldnt end the Tobi fight the way it should have is because of the anime. This game goes WAY beyond the anime as it is, theres NO way cc2 would have been able to get away with revealing Tobi's identity months before the anime. I do wish they had made this game's ending better, even if it meant pushing the game's release back until this summer, but the game was great, the ending I can live with as long as they make amends with Storm 4 either by fixing their mistakes somehow in the beginning or backtracking the Tobi fight, and I am definetly looking forward to Storm 4.

Thanks for actually posting a response that was constructive to the thread Cfighter. Much appreciated! And I know what you mean. It definitely would have been a little unwarranted for CC2 to spoil so much plotty plot goodness. Especially since the anime is barely on the verge of the edo Madara reveal. It's just disappointing that they already spoiled so much for fans who either don't read or only wathc the american version of the anime(their poor souls). I also would have been down to wait a bit long if it would have made the game just the little bit better that it needed to be.

Sweet Heat get Storm 3. Will be more worth your money if you're good at it, have xbl or psn, and have at least 2-3 friends who also enjoy playing.

Personally speaking I have an attachment to the UNS games. I always pre order and such. Never been into Fifa, but if you're always satisfied with the purchase of those games than thats all you need to make your decision.

, those two are completely different. Im not a huge sports fan, so naturally I would go Storm 3, but its all about what you would like. Be warned, if your looking at Storm 3 your only really looking at the Story Mode. Online battles dont have much more to offer than the previous games, so if your one of the people who look at online fights as a huge contributor to the game your not gonna get much more. BUT if your like me, who really only looks at the story mode, you WILL be in for one hell of a ride. The main story itself will last you roughly 15 hours if you dont skip the beautiful cutscenes (this game looks even better than storm 2), and with all the shit there is to do after you beat the initial story mode (which you can replay ANY moment of the game at ANY free roam point as long as you've played it) theres about 25-30 hours total of campaign to keep you occupied. And thats just one playthrough of the game.

Sadly this fight wasn't included. It definitely could have been considering how far they went with the spoilers in this game. I'm okay with it though because when I see this done in eye popping cinematics I want it to be done right. I think it's safe to assume storm 4 will deliver this for us.

The game kinda disappointed me i mean i love having story mode and such things but once you finish the story mode it's free battle forever, i expected some more stuff , as you guys already know , edo kages, gin and kin , the swordsman. There is not much new in free battle , i mean the r1 l1 skills are just "good" but they removed the right/left combo which is an step back. As you guys already know the story mode isnt very legit. It feels like playing generations for me, got bored kinda fast.

I thought they might leave Obito's fight with Naruto with the mask falling off and just end it there, but when I got done with the Kage fight I had the feeling it would be changed. I didn't mind the alt ending too much, I thought it was a bit cheesy, but they only had so much to work with. This game is an easy 2 months ahead of the anime and 2 might be generous.

I really liked the end of the game, where Naruto does that power punch and breaks Tobi's mask. The only problem was how he did the power punch. First slamming his first into his palm, then pulling his fist back for the punch, and then once again, putting his fist against his palm before pulling it back again to take the punch. It took like 20 seconds for him to finally punch Tobi, the whole time just floating in the air talking lol. His face looked amazing though. The punch would have looked better if he didn't do all of the random stuff during it lol. If he just would have punched it would have been better.
