[Theory] How Hashirama died

It's being speculated a lot recently how he died after these last few chapters have shown him as the best shinobi in the world. But I have a theory on that.

He is infusing life into his chakra when he melds earth and water to make trees right? This was stated by Yamato in the manga.

Where is he getting that "life" to infuse?

My theory is he is using his lifespan, and that he is shortening his life everytime he uses it, because every jutsu has a weakness, and maybe thats his.

The Uchiha's weakness is that they go blind after using the mangekyou too much, unless they steal a siblings mangekyou. (I think the whole eternal mangekyou is bullshit, just used to lengthen the series and add another level to an enitirely hyped ability* but thats for another time..)

What do you guys think?

This is 100% theory no hard proof, don't ask for any.

I'm more inclined to the fact that his healing abilities shortened his lifespan and he died of basically old age...

Which for him would be medium age.

But nice theory.
