Did they adopted Senju as their surname? (Purely example: From Uchiha Sasuke to Senju Sasuke?)
Did they fought for the Senju clan? (Probably against their old clan too?)
Did these Uchiha married Senju husbands or wives?
I feel the Uchiha clan's reputation was long gone once an Uchiha defected to the Senju.
Did the Uchiha who defected to Senju had a greater sense of peace?

You have a good point Sage6paths, neither i didn"t which of this they meant on chapter 624.
But i think it is"Did the Uchiha who defected to Senju had a greater sense of peace?"
As you said they were tired of the war between the clans as Hashirama was and had a dream of uniting the both clan.

they abandoned the uchiha clan and joined the senju, and stopped fighting in the war on the side of uchiha
basically everything that izuna wanted, the opposite happened..
Izuna told madara not to trust the senju...
then many of the uchiha started defecting to the senju villages.
Izuna is someone Madara VOWED to PROTECT Izuna....
then Madara himself probably took his eyes which added to his sad death..
Madara couldn't forgive himself for taking his eyes, and always wanted to avenge him..

After Izuna died, Madara might have taken those eyes and implanted in his eyes.
He did not take Izuna's eyes alive.
