Tobi used Kamui on the Amateratsu Flames

Much debates have come up on how Tobi escaped the “Black Flames” implanted in Sasuke to burn him up. Hopefully this will clear any speculation.

In this link we see that Obito has replaced the eye that lost his sight with the Rinnegan. Which make sense seeing how his sharigan would be useless.


Conclusion
TObito did not use Izanagi, he used Kamui. Whether he refilled or not is cannot be proven as it did not show that he used the technique nor did he talk of replacing his eye. Kishi simply displayed him off screen so that his abilities would not be revealed yet (in much greater detail).

Obito probably got damaged during the bombs. Izanagi completely alters reality. This notion is fully supported when Danzo got burnt into Oblivion, but came back in the form before he received this devastating mortal wound. Izanagi will reconstruct the reality exactly at the point it was initiated.

I don't see any manga proof though. Tobi has the ability to become intangible and also warp things into his dimension, if he used Izanagi, his sharigan would have lost it's eye

I think obito, having such great mastery with intangibility, simply separated his body on fire from the rest of it, and amaterasu had nothing more to burn. Kinda fastest counter, no wasting time absorbing it.

If he used izanagi his clothes would have been burnt regardless unless he is fast enough top activate izanagi before the flames hit him. In that case he would have also been date enough typo activate kamui.
