What is a book to you? to me it is a way to escape the world, a way to achieve ultimate happiness, many people call me a nerd when I read when most people are hanging out with there friends, in my opinion a book, is the nerds reward.
What is a book to you guys?

I have to agree.... books are a way to be creative and think of the characters in your head and be able to know what is not going on around you....

Books can be used for many things. My primary use for them is to gain knowledge in the ways of the subject I'm trying to increase. Such books are mostly technical or lists of data that make me feel and technically make me wise.

Though I think of them as just a source of information; I do like them as a source of enjoyment as well. I do not read them for enjoyment as much as one may think, but every once in a while I read books of sci-fi, adventure, lessons, and even a manual that is to be a parody of something that can or will not come.

My favorite book at the moment is "To Kill A Mocking Bird". This is my top rated book that I've read and I also recommend "Anthem", "Zombie Survival Manual", or "World War Z". They are all great books and I have read them many a time.

I have to pretty much agree with your first post.

When I'm reading, not only am I reading a good story while become a more intelligent person, but I'm also escaping the crudeness of the world and reality. With all of the crappy stuff that goes on in the world, a book is pretty much just the thing to escape it all. So is writing for me.

A book to me is a written adventure with ooooo's and awwwww's and it has complete thought, a complex storyline , and a great cast of charathers
