Re: It is impossible Madara, even though it'll be fun to see you try.
Contradictory statements, however i will answer your question. Hashirama failed to Kill Madara to the pinicle that Madara was capable of traveling from Konoha to The village of the hidden grass Kusagakure (his hideout) and recovered fully. The Rinnegan is doubtlessly a bigger threat than the kyuubi as Tendō alone was able to subdue it

Madara has already stated that his EMS is able to see through Hashirama's Mokuton bunshin and also has the ability to anticipate attacks. Bearing in mind that the Mokuton Madara produces are jutsu he copied from Hashirama; they are of the same scale and quantity.
Given that he has his edo abilities, he is able to use all such jutsu he copied from hashirama and added to this, the Rinnegan is a muchgreater potential threat in comparison with the kyuubi, which hashirama himself stated was overwhelming.
At the end of the day, EMS renders Bringer of darkness useless and Hashirama has no arsenal to counter Madara and his mokuton//rinnegan wielding bunshins. Hashirama canonically bested EMS Madara in his prime at high difficulties. His Edo-tensei form however is far beyond what he was capable of at vote; mentioning also that he has full knowledge of what hashirama is capable of. As for the remaining Kage, Taka and orochimaru; they all fail before the magnificence of Madara's Doujutsu wielding Kagebunshin. Adding the Juubi to the mixture; Madara is over capable of taking on this second group of Kage. The workings of Minato's FTG is already known to Obito, information he could pass on to Madara. As for Finishing/sealing, Ningendō's soul removal technique.
