Why Do Manga Translators Put Fan Art in Their Releases?

Like the title said: Why do manga translators such as MangaPanda and MangaStream put fan art in each and every one of their chapter releases?

Is there some kind of a reason for it?
Do they get paid to promote someone's art, or is it all just for fun?
Or am I missing out something?

This has always been a question I've asked myself:
Why don't they get straight to the chapter without any unnecessary, extra images?

No, I am not complaining about it - I'm just straight up curious as to why they do that. Isn't anybody else curious about it too?

Don't hate on the curious guy

    its like manga filler.
it makes you think the manga is a little longer than it is, and the photos usually match the chapter

Yeah, I've always thought it's their way of appreciation to their fans that use their version of the chapters when coloring manga pages. Maybe that's because that's it?

I really have no idea haha I've wondered that myself from time to time. It would be cool if they would do art from the last chapter or the current chapter but sometimes they go way back . Maybe it's some type of deal they have set up, like the art that gets featured are people who help translate. That's my guess but I really have no clue

I've always wondered , but I like it when they put "filler" pages , a.k.a fanart , because some of them are funny and because some of them are just......pretty, just to admire them , y'know?

better fan art, than advertisement.. that be shitty. kinda like having to watch an ad before a video.

Whats really weird is the memes...they suck spherical objects contained in the sack of skin between my thighs...they suck this much and do add them...and like one of the members wrote...they suck cuz they make u think the chapter is longer than usual

It's the same, it's still advertising people's fan arts, but in a different way.

They look top sometimes. Probably just the site giving back to the fans. Showing off someone's work.
