I think that the part you are refering to, where Sasuke stopped attacking, may actually have taken place inside Naruto's head. Sasuke and Naruto were already running at each other when it started. It's kinda like the moment at the Valley of End at the end of part 1, where their child selves shook hands. Even happened in the same whiteness. So it was either entirely a product of Naruto's imagination, a manifestation of his thought process, or it was some sort of genjutsu thing like when Sasuke stopped the Kyuubi the first time he and Naruto met in Part 2. They didn't actually stop fighting.

i think it may have been them "reading inside each others minds", as said way back.

Kakashi vs Sasuke in this condition would be kinda a weak fight with a quick ending by the Copy Nin.. Kakashi would have taken a win on this one.
It is more interesting to see what naruto's plans are imho but I will say looking at it again.. Naruto is riding sasuke's jock pretty hard. Talk-no-jutsu is just a bit too much this time... Hopefully as OP have mentioned he may have said some of that in his head. But he was all over Sasuke's nuts like they were going out of style and Sakura... I used to like her character but thats gone now her character is kinda ruined for me I was really expecting to see a mini Tsunade. But she is not living up to what I would expect from a mini Tsunade..

Hey I was thinking about Tobi and I cant help but to think smth wrong wit his identity. Shisua Uchiha is mysterious character and maybe its him behind the mask but I really doubt it.
My prediction is Naruto hurting Sasuke with his rasengan and than Madara comes for rescue and than new chapter begins

It was an Okay chapter i like the switchin bodies and switchin justu part that was kinda cool:D:D.......SAKURA U SUCK:P.....instead of hurtin the one who keeps tryin to kill her she hurts the one who keeps savin her worthless a$$.......wat happento her she was excellent in the sasori fight and now shes completely pathetic

And Karin just rose in my regard. Till recently I saw her as a nuissance and a Sasuke-pet, but now she finally said something smart thank god I can't even remember for how long I wanted to hear someone say those words "Forget it, I'm done with you"

I kno shes a whole lot cooler than sakura.......seriously naruto and sakura need to take a lesson from her and just say....."Forget it, I'm done with you".........I hope naruto tells sauske that he met itachi before he killed him....that would really F with his head:D and hopefully the gift doesnt come out yet....if its suppose to be so epic then i dont think now is the time for it to show

Its not a "mangabug" as you put it. Before Naruto met Iruka (ie before Naruto went to the academy), he was completely alone. He had nobody. Then he met Iruka and started forming connections with other people. But he still didn't really have friends...yes he got in trouble with choji, kiba and shikamaru, but they weren't really friends, but occasional playmates - they weren't close enough friends for any of them to even take notice of the lonely Naruto when he is the only one not the pass the genin exam.
So, when Naruto talks about being alone, he is refering to before the academy, and the fact that, even in the academy, he really had no one but Iruka.

First off, I would like to thank the ones who thanked me for posting the new chapter thread; arigatou gozaimasu! ^.^

Discussion: This chapter was simply phenomenal as it was explosive. It delivered a revelation of what I had known all along. It was Naruto and his feelings towards Sasuke. Naruto comes in saving Sakura from Sasuke and yet he doesn’t scream, curse or attempts to attack him for what he had just done but on the contrary begins to tell him how he understands. Kakashi in the last chapter said that it was his fault for the team turning out this way and that Sasuke was corrupted by Madara. Now all of a sudden he tells Naruto that this is what Sasuke became. However, I believe that because his attempt to revert Sasuke from revenge was to no avail, he came to the realization that Sasuke was simply too far gone but Naruto still kept the faith. Sakura hears out of Naruto’s mouth "the truth about Itachi" as well as now knowing that it was said by Madara. Karin finally seems to have given up her obsession/stake on Sasuke (the ironic thing being it seemed too out of character as before Sasuke was to give her the final fatal blow she stated "…I just wanted to see that face…just once more…"). However, I think she did this only because of viewing/realizing Sakura’s love for Sasuke. Naruto/Sasuke clashed a few times and Naruto throughout it conversed with Sasuke. Their brief chat was interesting enough as Naruto confirmed what I had been saying for a while now which wasn’t murdering Sasuke but instead change/take him back. Their talk was pleasant on Naruto’s part of course and Sasuke even though he seemed like he wanted to crawl out of his skin listened to his former friend. I really loved/favored the last panel of this page:

As it goes to show how deeply Naruto understands Sasuke wholeheartedly. TAKE THAT HATERS!!! At least someone out of this manga can fathom what Sasuke has gone through all his life and still see hope/salvation within him.

The final clash was something to think about as Naruto started to say his third answer when the chapter cut off. When their hands connected in the end it seemed different because I didn’t see any traces of Chidori/Rasengan. I was pleased to observe Naruto say that he wouldn’t kill him. Somehow Naruto should be able to change Sasuke if not now then in the future but I don’t have any doubts of that not happening.

Prediction: I wonder if the last clash somehow activated Itachi’s gift as when their hands connected, it looked suspicious. I hope that Sakura presses Kakashi for the truth about Itachi so that she will better understand and be on more equal terms with Sasuke. I wish that Naruto could change Sasuke in the next chapter but I have little doubt that Madara won’t show up to "rescue/save Sasuke" from reverting back and that way losing his Gedou Mazou pawn. Sasuke is just shy of complete blindness and I wonder how his decision will play out about acquiring his brother’s eyes if at all he even wants to seeing as how sacred he holds his brother to heart. I hope that Ao reveals what he knows about Danzou and that the characters cast aside Suigetsu/Juugo/Anko are all okay/shown soon enough. I hope that with Danzou’s death the Juin branded on the ANBU Root members will be lifted (if indeed this happens then Sai will be able confess everything he knows). Kabumaru???

Tottally agree, gives that feeling i'm gonna kill you to stop your suffering but then he says he won't that's really confusing. I think no one had a thought about what it could be the third option, and i'm tired of thinking but nothing pops up, i'm anxious to know. I thought the only possibilities were kill him or convincing him, but it looks it's neither of those, i do'nt if there's another possibility.

I think that something like this has been said before. but i just remembered avatar: the last airbender.

at the end aang had to defeat the fire lord, but his beliefs as a monk did not allow to kill him. so he got a GIFT from some old giant lion-turtle or so which enabled him to take away the fire lord's bending powers which made him harmless.

this may also be an option for naruto. but i don't see itachi being able to give a power like that to naruto.

That's an interesting idea. Just like itachi did to engage amaterasu on sasuke's eyes every time he saw madara's eye, he may also have a jutsu to cancel sharingan, that may be the power he gave naruto. Sasuke without sharingan is nothing, he has to use chidori along side with sharingan.

thats them reading each others minds.

I think they will battle for a while about 2 mangas. naruto will not go in to sage and he will be kicking sasukes ass with new moves. If not the manga is going no where. itachis gift will not be shown. why because Itachi said it would kick in when naruto thinks he will have to kill sasuke to save the village. madara will show up in about 3 mangas and save sasuke form getting take back to the leaf. later sasuke gets itachis eyes. sasuke gets crazy new power. sasuke screams with his hands in the air HAHAHAHAHAHA. now i can beat naruto. madara in the back ground thinking the leaf will fall. HAHA cough im old as F***.

i think narutos answer will be something like
"i.....will free you from the chain of hatred. i will not give up. if there is a way i will find it. sasuke."

i think narutos gift from itachi might be sealing itachis own sharingan or something against madara.
it was a back plan for if his back up plan in sasuke failed.

maybe if madara manages to complete his moons eye plan somehow maybe it will activate and seal only madara in a genjutsu. the most powerful genjutsu that even he cannot escape.

or if sasuke uses itachis eyes it will seal them.

or if sasuke uses itachis eyes and madara steals them to regain his EMS it will seal them.

all of those would merit itachi's "i hope you dont have to use it" line.
either he doesnt want sasuke to use his eyes for evil, he doesnt want madara to kill his brother and take his eyes or he doesnt want madara to win.

speaking of genjutsu maybe itachi gave naruto those hidden items the sake sword and the yata mirror. like to count madara and or sasunoo.

you need the sharingan in order to see your oponent.
it was ok for sasuke not to use the sharingan for those because he was behind sakura and striking an almost dead woman on the floor.

the one against naruto was just him knowing naruto would strike at sasukes chidori with a rasengan.

if sasuke attacked kakashi with it sasuke would have to activate the sharingan or he would die.

i like the Naruto we have now, he talked to Sasuke trying to convince him but he didnt say something useless and pointless as he actualy got Sasuke's attention.I guess it isnt anything new but i luv the idea of beating him down and then taking him home.Has anyone else realised that if Naruto had come a few moments earlier he wud probly be dead as he isnt in Sage mode and he has no other means of dodgeing that arrow.The other thing is im wondering if the reason he isnt in sage mode is cuz he sees that sasuke is basicaly on his last breath, or he has a clone or 2 nearby fillin up or already filled up on chakra just in case.rofl, it wud have been epic if it was chidori vs giant ball rasengan(sage mode big rasengan), Sasuke would have been mega owned.I wonder why Kishi preffers his main chars without headbands lately(Sasuke & Naruto), seriously why isnt Naruto wearing his.Btw wth, Sasuke isnt totaaly blind he can still see shapes and stuff but its just everything is probly like fuzzy and he cant see colours mostlikely.Itachi was further along the path of blindness yet he could still see Sasuke well enough to own his ass.

After thinking about it. The chapter is a good start but I expect waaaay more from the next chapters. I need some content it can't be short other than that I don't care what happens. All of team 7 is there it should be really interesting and Naruto and Sasuke stopped at the Chidori vs Rasengan which is a good place to start imho..
