a girl friend is different than being in love. Real love, not that crap most guys spout to get in girls pants. My brother once broke up with someone for his "best friend". They had been dating for 2 years, but he had been friends with that guy for about 6. He later told me that it was the worst decision he ever made, but he couldn't take it back. They stopped being friends not to long after that, because his friend wouldnt make the same choice when a similar arguement was brought before him.

I've been in love once in my life. It was unfortunately unrequited, but it was love. If she had ever returned my feelings, no friend of mine would have been able to come between us( of course most of my friends were girls so... ). True love, well nothing is better. No friendship is worth more than true love, even if its unrequited. Of course a REAL friend would never put you in that situation, unless it was for your own good.

In the case of the manga, Naruto holding a onesided friendship with sasuke as more important than the mutual friendships of the others, or his "love" of sakura is disturbing. His obsession with sasuke is dangerous.

And i think this clash will be similar to the VotE clash, in which Naruto pulls his punch and sasuke doesnt...

I think this should be turned into the is Sasuke gay. The guy is 16 and shows no interest in girls hell @ 16 they were all i can think of and the only two girls that showed that they like him he tries to kill. It was said Itachi had a lover.

:oWell you maybe true. I honestly have neither experienced true friendship or true love. Unfortunately my father has a transferable job so in every 2-4 years, I have to shift from one country to another. Although i have made several great, protecting, caring friends (probably more friends than any of you have) in each place i have stayed, our bonds have withered and we have lost touch. I really don't know if my best friend 3 years ago is still alive or not but i have always moved on. So yes, maybe i never really experienced a long lasting true friendship.

But I do know that if you or any1 has to make a vital choice of saving the life of only one of the following:

1. The woman who you have always loved, adored, drooled over and who has always fought by your side, healed you and cared for you.


2. Your so called, self proclaimed 'true, best friend" or even "Brother" whom you have always envied and competed with. Who has always dissed you, enraged you and shown you that you are inferior.Who is has openly declared that he is going to kill you and your love and your mentor and everyone you have cared about and who plans to eliminate your village, your only family, who has killed his own true brother and who is a rogue or terrorist currently in the wanted list of several nations.

So whose life would you save? The answer is obvious not option 2. Even a fool like me will say that. Unless you are some freak like Zaraki Kenpachi from Bleach who would keep his enemy alive just so that he can enjoy killing, you would never chose the 2nd option.

And as for people who think I'm some middle school kid on a gay watch, let me make it clear i am merely questioning Naruto's affection for Sakura and his shockingly abnormal bond with the man who plans to kill him. I am not in middle school, I'm giving my O levels in two months and thats why this will probably be my last thread for some time.

My girlfriend (of about 2.5 yrs now) is my best friend and was a good friend for a couple years before we started going out. Every situation is different. But choosing b/w my gf and my best friend besides my gf would still be a tough choice. Gf would probably win out tho because I'm gonna marry her and she's the one with a few different warm holes to hide inside

Anyways, Naruto's choice in gender is irrelevant as was said previously. He should not be smiling warmly at a terrorist/avenger/insane person like that. After all that Sasuke has done to wrong Naruto, Naruto needs to just whoop his ass for a good couple chapters and then he needs to FRS him in the face.

Even focused on your goals who would just ignore feeling for anyone. It would be like saying you don't want to have friends just because you are to focused on your goals. It would be boring anyways without mixing it up with females even if you don't plan on having any long term serious relationship its still fun. Sasuke is asexual most likely.

I'd rather say that each one of us has their own points of view and values, some give more importance to friends, others to girlfriends.
So does kishimoto and since the beginning he gave more importance to friendship than any other and if you don't agree with that i suggest you find another manga to read.

Most people don't like naruto's passive reactions and actions but doing the opposite has proven nothing at all, rushing into fights or answer a war by making another is not the answer.

That's what ino's father wanted, he wanted naruto to crush pain, but that wouldn't solve anything at all....

On his way to sasuke's place , naruto said he would have the answer when he saw him, so the naruto's talk you saw in this chapter is some kind of introduction to that answer and although he said those things " i'm glad i met you" and whatever, don't forget that he is saying that and at the same time throwing a rasengan against sasuke's chidori, so he is not only talking ..

@ Thread starter, You really need to get a good friend. If the people around you that you think are friends and yet they backstab you with Ill comments/ Don't Help you out in times of need etc., you really need to CHANGE ur friend Circles.

It would have been GAY, IF the scene was Sasuke (was temped to write SASUGAY here coz I'm no Sasuke fan) Destroying Konoha, and naruto was watching over Sasuke so that no harm befalls him. That I might consider GAY FRIENDSHIP.

Who knows what they did behind the scenes lol. This manga is for a younger audience. Also, Sasuke was too wrapped up in revenge to develop any feelings of romantic love so we're not gonna see him courting anyone. The stalker may have some problems but Sasuke has more problems than the stalker lol.

I think Narutos feelings towards Sasuke are more brotherly than romantic. Sasuke is like a big brother to Naruto, who never knew his family. thats why he feels so strongly about him. he sees him as family.
