Madara didn't know everything about Itachi, he didn't know about the failsafe so a chance still remains that what he stated could have been an assumption. Don�t get me wrong though; there is still a possibility of it being true. I�m just trying to say that nobody can truly be certain about it unless Itachi himself returns to state himself what he did, a databook is released containing information on it, etc.

Although If he did take them I don't think it played a dramatic role during his performance because he himself chose to die and was able to do so when we pleased, if the medication was preventing death then he shouldn't have been able to give into the illness and die. The whole entire subject is still quite obscure and wasn�t explained in enough detail. Hopefully we can all gain some insight to this in the future.

True that... I know the Anime isn't the greatest source as i already said in my other post i was just saying that they aren't just rumors someone must have watched the anime and assumed it was in the manga too. Hmm... maybe they should check before they say it.
Anyways, according to the anime he was going to die anyways so he just went to sasuke and died in his hand, maybe now that he had finished his "duty" for Sasuke to be great he just gave in to his illness. i thought it said somewhere he was barely alive. He was probably only alive because of the medication and his determination. It wouldn't be hard to give in to an illness that is going to kill you anyways. :mad: poor Itachi

well u kno how u said said karen noticed narutos fox chakra rite? well i was always wondering, where is the other half of his chakra? when naruto talked to minato, he said he only stored half of the fox chakra inside him. but where is the other half??
