Most Powerful Elemental Ninjutsu
I was just thinking about the abilities of the Naruto world and I was wondering what the ultimate jutsu of each element would be.
By ultimate jutsu I mean the most destructive power of that particular element as seen in nature.
I thought the ultimate fire jutsu would obviously be Amaterasu. Then I reconsidered. I think a jutsu should be something that can be learned by anybody with enough ability, chakra, control and that particular elemental affinity. The Mangekyou jutsu's don't fall into that category.
I think the ultimate lightning jutsu might hyave to be Kirin. It's a bolt of lightning. Can't beat that.
What would make an ultimate wind jutsu? A Hurricane? Is it a bit suspicious that Naruto post time skip is called Shippudden? Maybe Naruto might learn how to unleash a hurricane.
The ultimate water jutsu? Maybe a Tsunami? The ultimate earth and fire jutsu?
Just a note. I consider the Rasengan and Rasenshuriken more Chakra manipulation with an element added than an actual wind jutsu. So no saying Rasenshuriken for ultimate wind jutsu.

I'm not sure, but I guess lightning and earth would be the strongest.

Perhaps. But I actually meant what would be the ultimate ninjutsu of each element.
example -
Wind - Hurricane?
Lightning - Kirin
Earth - Earthquake? Quicksand?
Fire - ?
Water - Tsunami?
But your post was quite interesting too. Would the ultimate ninjutsu of one element be more powerful than the others?

The strongest elemental ninjutsu are..
Wind - Rasen-Shuriken
Lightning - Karin
Earth - Not sure :/
Fire - I'm pretty sure Amaterasu counts as a fire release
Water - The attack kisame used against KB to make a world of water

Re: Most Powerful Elemental Ninjutsu
Kirin?
No...
Imagine a lightning storm, meaning about a few 10s of lightningbolts, that would beat it.
Earth - earthquake ( escape that, since ninja can't fly so far )
Water - tsunami ( but ninja's can walk on wter, might be able to escape this )
Wind - a hurricane or someting, or razor sharp winds.
Fire - Sephiroth's Supernova :D

As I said.. the Rasenshuriken is more chakra manipulation with wind element added than a purely wind jutsu.
As for Amaterasu... the reason i'm not counting it is that to cast it requires a bloodline which needs to be developed to a great degree and then it causes blindness upon using it. Also.. and correct me if i'm wrong.. but every sharingan has different abilities so the only people that can cast it were Itachi and now Sasuke. I'm looking more for jutsu that a kage level shinobi with that chakra nature can potentially cast.

I doubt you can water walk yourself out of a Tsunami. It's horrendously powerful.
As for a hurricane with razor sharp winds... I would think you've got it right. A wind attack that has winds blowing at upwards of a hundred and thirty miles per hour and razor sharp winds added to it would potentially defeat an army.
lol imagine adding a fire attack to it. Armageddon.

Re: Most Powerful Elemental Ninjutsu
Lightening - Limelight (as shown and told in the anime, although it was a filler it must have got some approval from kishi)
Water - Tsunami
Earth - Eartquake or Opening the crust of the earth into the core (hell).
Fire - The attack Kakuzu did that almost killed Kakashi and Naruto
Wind - Piercing Wind Vortex

Re: Most Powerful Elemental Ninjutsu
Each Element has it strength and weakness depending on how you mach it up against and the amount of chakra the user has to give it. wind makes fire stronger, water makes fire weaker, wind is stronger than lightning and so on and on it deepens against which element you used against and what elements work together and what elements combine can created a new element.

OK, FRS is the most powerful wind element jutsu out there. If you disallow that you have to disallow Kirin. Kirin isn't really a lightening element jutsu that draws out much chakra from the user; rather it's lightening drawn from the sky and requires a good deal of preparation of get nimbus clouds unless Sasuke will only fight people on days with thunderstorms. The thing is that Kirin doesn't really use the users internal chakra because it's impossible to produce that much damage.
Jiraiya's combination jutsu of toad oil, wind, and fire for the "deep fryer" fire style jutsu was intense even though he used Ma and Pa toad too.
Regarding FRS, every badass jutsu is composed of shape and elemental manipulation. Chidori does the same thing as FRS, it's just that FRS has the ultimate shape manipulation. You can disallow it if you want, I don't care. I just disagree.

Re: Most Powerful Elemental Ninjutsu
There isn't a 'strongest' element since once is always weak against another and strong against a different one.
Depends to the Users if you use the five elements then your the strongest

Re: Most Powerful Elemental Ninjutsu
Right Kabuto2 it all deepens on the mach up and the users amount of Chakra for example water is normally stronger than fire but if the fire user has 2 or more times the chakra in them it might created a strong enough fire to evaporate the water.

Erm.. Kirin is okay specifically for the reason that it is lightening drawn from the sky. What can be a more powerful jutsu of lightening than summoning lightening itself?
As for every badass jutsu having shape manipulation... the only two I know of is Rasengan and Chidori... what are the others?
The only reason I disallowed the FRS was because the wind element is added to enhance the jutsu... its not the core to the jutsu. It's not purely a wind element jutsu.
I always think of the Rasenshuriken as the ultimate shape manipulation jutsu. You may think otherwise.
Also I put no conditions on whether the jutsu needs help to be performed. That's fine.
The only jutsus I suggested not be put forward were the Mangekyou jutsus and the FRS.

dude karin is done by setting up jutsus like fire etc to change the weather and then use his element without having to use any chackra just to trigger it so its just like the FRS since its not purely preformed with only using lightning element

Re: Most Powerful Elemental Ninjutsu
I don't think that large area wide attacks are necessarily the strongest such as a Tsunami. Possibly something condensed or more focused on hitting one target.
High pressure water attack similar to what Sasori was using but stronger or maybe a powerful beam of lightning. Those types of attacks have my vote.
Of course though, one user using the same attack might not be the as powerful as the other.

Re: Most Powerful Elemental Ninjutsu
Well i think for water would be the power to take the liquid out of someones body
Fire should be amerterasu
Earth... m, quicksand, gap through the earths crust, earthquake
wind, huricane or just like FRS but its created like a dome round and opponent then closses in and gets them
Lightning would be just a fast bolt of lightning or you can control static in the air and shock someone to death
Thats what i think

Re: Most Powerful Elemental Ninjutsu

Water - probably that sphere of water(kisame)

Re: Most Powerful Elemental Ninjutsu
Couldn't with an amaterasu thrown to the sky Sasuke can throw as many Karin he wants since the fire doesn't extinguish easily-Lightning
amaterasu manipulated is the strongest fire-fire
Kyuubi-sage mode can make the strongest FRS-wind
Kisame's water shark prison (I think its called that) is the strongest water attack ever especially in an island surrounded by water-water
I haven't seen any S-class Eart jutsu to claim the strongest earth jutsu.

Amaterasu doesn't count as fire release... And RasenShuriken isn't really a wind release... It's just swirling chakra which happends to wind nature... Kakashi showed that rasengan can be used whit lightning nature chakra...

Re: Most Powerful Elemental Ninjutsu
Earth and water in combination creates mud slides and quick sand as well as wood. Fire and water creates fog. Water and wind hurricane. Theirs so many ways you can combine them to make something else.

Re: Most Powerful Elemental Ninjutsu
Wind- Rasenshuriken. I read what you said, but the fact is, it is still a Fuuton attack. It does what wind is meant to do and slice things up. It can even do damage on the cellular level by producing little mini wind blades that slice up the cells. Rasengan just helps it do so, but it's still a wind technique.
Water- Probably that dragon technique. We haven't seen many advanced suiton techniques that are above B rank.
Fire release-Whatever Kakuzu did? Amaterasu is a bloodline limit so it doesnt count.
Earth release- Deidara's clay jutsu technically counts as earth release, which is why Sasuke was able to use lightning to diffuse it. So i'd assume him turning himself into a bigass bomb was probably the strongest earth release technique.
Lightning-Definitely Kirin.
