    "Doton or as its commonly called earth style is one of the five elements. Earth style is weak against lightening style but is strong against water style. Earth style allow you to manipulate the ground you walk on. Its more of a defensive style element with various techniques like mud wall, mobile earth core, and hiding in the ground like a mole. These jutsus either drastically change the terrain or block an opponents attack or allow you to avoid your opponents attack. Used in combination with water style you can use wood style and its typical user Hashirama. Used in combination with fire style you can use lava style and its well known user is Mei. When used in combination with wind and fire you get particle style. This allows you to destroy thing on a molecular level. A well known user of particle style is the second and three tsuckikage of the hidden stone village. Some well known users of earth style are Hiruzen, Kakuzu, Kakashi, Hashirama, and Yamato."

    "Not bad, your current level knowledge on Doton is something to work with. I noticed you mentioned me as a notable user of Doton, flattery will get you nowhere. However, you're compliment is appreciated. I'll give you a run down of all of the basic elements (especially Doton), to flesh out your understanding. Make sure to commit this to memory, it will be useful knowledge for the future. Once you've read and understood the following, we will continue."

    Earth Release is often considered the element of sturdiness and durability. Unlike other elements which come and go with time, it is an ever eternal presence in the environment which endures all types of weather regardless of how harsh conditions become. Earth can be used as a shield or blockade defensively to dissipate the force of powerful waves of water or non-cutting gusts of wind. It can withstand great heats, acting as a heat sink but also as a physical barrier to prevent weapons passing through. Its strong against water, its natural ability to prevent water from passing through it whilst passing through water itself is a reason for this. However its weak against lightning. The lightning conducted along the earth causes it to break up, lose its natural composition and break down due to the penetrative abilities of Raiton. Doton can either be used in this solid rocky form or its adhesive mud-like variant, granting the element further versatility. As well as the conventional uses of the element, the mud variant can be used to bind opponents in place, clash with other elemental jutsus or be used in many effective combinations. The mud-variant is most commonly used along with Fire to form pseudo-lava (molten mud), making for a very dangerous substance.

    Along with Suiton, its versatility stems from the state of matter it naturally occurs in. Due to having physical substance, Doton can be shaped into various structures from defensive walls to jagged spikes, from an earth dragon to a single pillar of earth. Furthermore, in terms of terrain-based advantage, Doton can be used to manipulate the ground beneath and around the opponent, allowing for limitless potential in creating successful combos. I like to think of the element as the perfect balance between offensive, defensive and supplementary usage, as no confines exist on what the user can create.

    Wind Release is the element that allows us to create and manipulate wind. When you think of wind you think of something that is fast, free flowing, unpredictable, and strong. In the Narutoverse and in our RP, wind release has a variety of different properties which makes it versatile in its own right. For one, we have the ability to create long and short powerful gusts of flowing wind. Mainly these techniques that are designed to provide resistance against oncoming attacks, reversing the trajectory of weaponry, etc. We can also create short concentrated/compressed bursts of wind that give a pseudo solid form which can be used for blunt force or strong impacts. These would mainly be offensive in nature. There is also vacuum or suction power that can be generated, drawing objects in for close combat or sucking away the oxygen for suffocation. However, one of the more prominent abilities of wind release that we’ve come to know from the Narutoverse is the powerful cutting power that it possesses. Mainly from characters like Naruto, Asuma, and Sora, the wind nature has been shown to be able to slice and cut through things like butter. Wind is the movement of many gases in the air, though we’ve been shown to manipulate just the air itself and call it wind release by comparison due to the relationship.

    Water is the most calm and free-flowing elements. These characteristics dictate its nature, making it useful in combat due to the fluidity and intense lack of control that is required to utilize it. Lightning and Fire take extreme control, but manipulation of water takes calmer movements and so controlling it comes more naturally. While its the calmest element, it can also become one of the most destructive. Putting a large amount of force behind of wave gives it power that can't be paralleled by all the other elements. In terms of scale, Water has the highest potential to be the "best" element, a clear testament of this is Kisame of the Akatsuki. Water comes in three main forms: normal water, sticky water and oily flammable water.

    Lightning Release is the use of high frequency and is the most fleeting of all the elements. It arguably takes the most control due to its dangerous nature and the lethality it possess. The interaction of the molecules within it, further contribute to its level of instability, requiring the user to take much more care in handling this element compared to the others. Fundamentally, its the control over raw streams of electricity which can be tamed with the right control, it relates most to the Fire element due to its destruction if not contained or used properly and the high level of self-control someone requires to manipulate it correctly. One common misconception is that Lightning release travels as fast as natural lightning, when in reality Lightning is far slower than its naturally occurring counterpart due the user taking control of/taming the lightning. The element itself occurs in three main forms: Normal Lightning, Plasma and pale-blue pillars which emit electricity.

    Fire Release is the usage of superheated chakra to create flames and heat-intensive attacks. Its created through channeling Katon chakra to the user's lungs and exhaling the built chakra in various forms. Katon is most commonly used in its fire-based form, but it can also take the shape of a plume of superheated ash or a misty flammable gas. In terms of raw potential, its considered the least versatile element as it excels in offensive capabilities, lacks in supplementary usage and is ill-suited to use as a defensive element. Despite this, Katon is the most ferocious element to contend with due to its sheer raw power. The heat of the element makes it capable of reducing earthen structures to molten mud, the parasitic nature of it means it preys on the oxygen within wind-based attacks to supplement the flames and even against its elemental superior, large-scale Katon techniques are capable of reducing large bodies of water to scorching mist of dense steam. The Katon element has little usage outside of destruction, to a certain degree its the hardest elemental nature to tame due to its sporadic and uncontrollable nature.

    Descripton: Creates small pillars of earth, small tools, and small shields of earth

    Alright, come over here and place both of your palms on the ground, before focusing your doton chakra into it. Mold your chakra and utilize it to change the structure of the ground itself to forcefully cause a single fairly blunt pillar of earth to rise out of the ground in between the space of your laid out palms. Take care, you could very well impale either of your hands if you lose concentration, even for a second. This technique can create nearly any earth-based construct you desire, as long as its small in magnitude and size. Its best used for making pillars, small tools, weapons ad shields.

    Key points: One of the most useful lower ranking techniques. Its used quite commonly, due to its sheer versatility in battle. People tend to use it to create a pillar beneath them for aerial elevation, but when doing this make sure you specify that the pillar is blunt and will cause no damage when propelling you up into the air. Dodging via movement is sometimes more Charka-efficent than direct technique clashes, so always make sure to assess the situation correctly. Never use this jutsu to evade large scale attacks e.g. S-Rank Fire walls and streams.

    (Doton: Gansetsukon) - Earth Release: Rock Section Cane

    Description: This technique allows the user to take a small chunk of rock and turn it into the shape of a staff. The user can then use it as a melee weapon or throw it with pinpoint accuracy at their opponent. A variation of this technique allows the user to create several staffs and launch them at the target, but with less accuracy.

    Now, break off the pillar you have raised from the ground and focus your chakra into it, utilizing your chakra to sharpen the blunt construct of rock into serrated spear which can be used as a melee or ranged weapon. All the while, make sure to maintain its form, so it doesn't crumble as you attempt to morph its structure. Once you're content with your spear, toss it towards the nearby target and aim to strike the bull's eye.

    After hearing my sensei's words I start to focus my charka into the palms of my hands. Once I have gathered enough charka in my palms I convert that charka into Doton nature charka. Once I have the necessary Doton charka I place the palms of my hands on the ground. I focus hard on creating a pillar five feet in front of me that's five feet tall. I maintain my focus until there is a pillar five feet away from me and five feet tall. After that I focus my earth style charka into the pillar to create a spear that's about my height with a serrated edge one end and a flat end on the other. I carefully make sure to maintain my focus so the weapon doesn't crumble however it takes two tries before I succeed completely. After that I throw the spear into a tree aiming for the bulls eye.

    I would like you to focus your doton chakra into your arm, whilst envisioning the nature of the element to generate a small ring of rocks around you. Then with a nonchalant flick of your arm, send the spinning ring of rocks towards your spear, intercepting it and causing the two techniques to destroy one another.

    Key Points: Unsure if the rocks come from the ground or are a manifestation of your own chakra. Do not specify how you create the rocks, stick to the description of the technique to be safe.

Mold that same chakra to cause multiple sections of rock to rise up and around my clone (in a set formation). From those sections, I want you to form two gigantic sections of stone to crush my clone in between as they collide.

    After losing focus briefly to make a sarcastic thought I notice the spear is rather close to me and in a relaxed way I start building up earth style charka. After building up the earth charka I envision a circle of rocks around me. I release my charka and rocks surround me. After taking a deep breath I flick my arms and send the rocks at the spear. As those two jutsu connect and destroy each other I focus on my sensei clone. As I am standing on the ground I make a rat hand seal and focus my earth style charka into the ground. This cause multiple sections of earth to rise up and form to gigantic sections of rock and crushes sensei's clone.

    Description: The user changes earth into fine sand by channeling chakra into it, allowing the user to dig through it like a mole. While underground one can sense what is happening on the surface and use the information to launch a surprise attack on the enemy. Once can also hide deep in the ground, escaping to a depth where the enemy cant reach. It also appears that after digging, the ground can be returned to its original state, leaving no trace of where the user entered the earth.


    For this next technique, I want you to release your doton chakra into the ground below via your feet before utilizing that same chakra to alter the very consistency of the ground beneath you. Change the earth to a sandy-like composition, allowing you to dig through it as if you were a mole, hence the name of the jutsu. Whilst you move around underground, you must maintain this jutsu or suffer being crushed the moment you cease it. As you go underground, return the ground to its original appearance, leaving no trace of you entering the earth.

    Key Points: Hmm...where to begin ? At first, this may seem like the ultimate evasion tactic, but do not be fooled. If your opponent sees you go underground, senses your presence underground and etc, you're finished. Jutsus which manipulate the earth itself e.g. sink holes and forming swamps, will leave you trapped beneath the earth's surface and most likely crushed/buried one way or another. Using this technique against Doijutsu users is more or less a no go. The same applies to sensors, the Kiyoshi and Binkan. Always make sure you know of your opponent's abilities, before attempting such a risky move. When I first started out, I died three times in a row trying to use this jutsu xD.

    However, let's say the opponent doesn't see you go underground for whatever reason e.g. they lower the ground around you, severing the sight between you two. You could go underground and launch a successful surprise attack, killing them. You just have to weigh up the benefits and risks of attempting such a move.

    (Doton: Shinju Zanshu no Jutsu) - Earth Release: Double Suicide Decapitation Technique

    I start to build up charka in my feet. Once I have enough charka in my feet I change it to earth style charka. I start to focus on changing the ground to a sandy composition. Once I have the required earth charka built up I release it through my feet and start to change the consistency of the earth. I make sure I continue focusing to avoid crushing myself when the earth changes back. I start to move around in the earth and make sure to keep focus on changing the earths consistency to sand before moving and letting the area I previously pasted back into earth. Once I get used to moving underground I check to make sure I closed the spot where I entered. Once I made sure the spot I entered was closed I check for where my sensei's clone is. Once I find where my sensei's clone is I move over to where he is and make sure the earth around me is sand but the earth behind me is regular earth. Once I reach where sensei's clone in I activate another jutsu. As I activate this technique I grab the clone's leg and yank it down. As I go up I make sure to leave sensei's clone trapped where I previously was.

    Alright, the next two techniques are particularly useful. On first sight, they look like nothing special, however their applications are pretty diverse.

    (Doton: Yochi no Douyou) - Earth Release: World Shaking
    Rank: C
    Type: Offensive
    Range: Short - Mid
    Chakra cost: 15
    Damage points: 30
    Description: The user will concentrate and release their chakra into the ground to create a small tremer that can result in harming the enemy target.


    Now, I want you to focus your doton chakra into the ground to create a small tremor, barely an earthquake which shakes the ground. Use it to cause my clone in the not too far distance lose balance and fall onto the ground. The damage inflicted by this technique is minimal, so he should be alright. If you're wondering how to counter this technique, your best option is not countering it all. By the time you realize the ground is shaking, you'll lose your balance and possibly fall over. What harm is there in falling over ? Simply dust yourself and get back up. Do not expend chakra unless its necessary.

    Key Points: Despite its low rank and minimal effects, this technique can be very useful in battle depending on how you decide to use it. If you're opponent is running at you or using a technique which requires them to run at you e.g. Rasengan, Chidori and etc, using this technique will cause them to lose their balance and potentially fall over. You can counter higher ranking techniques with a simple C-Rank.

    (Doton: Ganchūsō) - Earth Release: Stone Spikes

    Description: This technique lets the user create a few rock pillars that will protrude from the ground to skew the target. The rock pillars will even pass through obstacles to reach their target


    Once my clone falls onto the ground, before he can recover I want you to continuing focusing your chakra into the ground. Mold the chakra present in the ground to create a two sharp pillars of rock, using them to emerge beneath both of his feet and skewer the region up to his knees.

    Key Points: The most important thing about this technique is knowing how to counter it. Techniques like this generate small vibrations that you can "feel" if you're standing on the ground. The moment you feel these vibrations, you're free to counter. The higher ranked the technique, the more intense the vibrations. At best, this technique would cause moderate vibrations, but it causes disturbance in the ground nonetheless.

    Another nice way I learnt from Better to release Genjutsus is using this technique. If you're unsure and new to Genjutsu in our rp, basically when you're cast in one, you need to release it through a variety of methods. Inflicting pain on yourself is one of the methods, the higher ranked the Genjutsu, the more pain you need to inflict to dispel it. When you realize a Genjutsu, whether it paralyzes you or not, channel your doton chakra into the ground and cause a single spike of earth to emerge. Angle the spike the depending on how much pain you want to inflict.

    If you're breaking a A-Rank or below gen, angle the spike to strike into your thigh or another part of your non-dominant leg.

    If you're breaking S-Rank gen (and have no other options), angle the spike to emerge directly beneath one of your legs, to completely crush it up to the knee region. This will keep you standing up and block blood from gushing out of your body.

    This method inflicts serious harm on to you and is only recommended if you have no other options. Sometimes this is the best method to use and so its better to take many wounds rather than fail to counter a Genjutsu. Also, this isn't a possible method to use when you're standing on water or a similar terrain. If you have a bio which can heal or take such wounds e.g. Hidan, Kakuzu, a medical shinobi, using Pain to release genjutsu is very tactical indeed. You don't waste a move countering one of their techniques by making full use of your bio's capabilities

    I focus charka into my feet and start to mold it into earth style charka. Once I get enough earth style charka I release it into the ground. The ground starts to shake as my earth style charka enters and I maintain my focus on causing the ground to shake. I than focus more earth charka into the ground. Once I have focused enough earth style charka into the ground I envision rocks coming out of the ground in a spear shape and skewer the clone in the knee region. This cause earth to sprout up out of the ground in the shape of a spear and skewer the clone in its knee regions before it can get up.

    Alright, now we're going to attempt some mud-based techniques, an interesting variant of the Earth element. Focus your doton chakra into your mouth whilst envisioning the nature of doton. However, imagine the earth with a sticky, thick and liquid-like consistency, as if its been saturated with water or melted down to its molten state but its still devoid of heat. Now look directly at my clone and spit this built chakra at him in the form of a sizable globule of mud, aiming specifically for his eyes. Use it to blind his vision and sever the line of sight between you to.

    Key Points: Useful technique to use when you want to block the line of sight between yourself and the opponent e.g. avoiding Eye contact for Genjutsus

    (Doton: Doryū Taiga) - Earth Release: Earth Flow River

    Description: After forming the needed hand sealTiger, the user transforms the ground underneath their opponent into a river of mud that throws them off balance and away from the user. The mud created by this technique can also be used as a medium for the Earth Release: Earth Dragon Bullet technique.


    Now, I want you to form the Tiger handseal and focus your doton chakra into the ground beneath my blinded clone, transforming it into a small river of mud which throws him off balance due to its slippery quality. The miniature river of mud will also carry him a small distance away from you, making this technique ideal for avoiding Taijutsu and close combat confrontations.

    Key Points: Pay close attention to the range, I was surprised to see it was short and not short-mid. Useful for avoiding Tai fights

    (Doton: Doryudan) - Earth Release: Earth Dragon Bullet

    Description: When used with Earth Release: Earth Flow River, the user will then perform the Ram → Horse → Dragon they can create a dragon-like head to fire concentrated mud at an opponent. This can also be combined with a fire jutsu to shoot lava toward an opponent.


    In quick succession, perform the following three handseals and form the small river of mud into a dragon head shaped construct and send it in the direction of my disoriented clone. Along with this, I'll combine the fire counterpart of this technique with your mud dragon, creating for a molten mud combination attack which will melt through my clone's skin and deal severe wounds to him.

    Key Points: I'm unsure if this technique can be used without Earth Flow River, however to be on the safe side make sure you only use it after previous jutsu.

    I focus my charka into my mouth. I start to envision earth style however this time I envision water mixing into the mud. The first time I added water to earth I envisioned it came out looking like a rock that was soaked in water. However the second time I try envisioning it I get mud as result in my mind. Once I have the thought of mud and the necessary charka I mold the charka into earth style. Once I have the earth style charka ready I spit. As I spit I infuse my earth style charka into it and it becomes mud. I make that I am aiming at the clone's eyes just like my sensei said. Than I shift my earth charka into my feet and let it flow into the earth. I wait until my charka is underneath the blinded clone than I make a tiger seal. Suddenly a small mud river appears underneath the clone and the clone falls into the mud and gets carried away from me. Noticing that there isn't enough earth charka left in the muddy river to do the next jutsu I add some more earth style charka. Once there is enough earth style charka in the muddy river I make three hand signs Ram → Horse → Dragon. This activates my charka and creates a dragon head that fires concentrated mud at the now disorientated clone.

    Much better, onto the next two techniques. These two will focus on entrapment, one of which will capture your opponent in a prison and the other will cause the earth formation to cave in on itself.

    (Doton: Ganchūrō no Jutsu) - Earth Release: Rock Pillar Prison Technique

    Alright, perform this sequence of four handseals before focusing your doton chakra into the ground below, using it to mold the ground beneath my clone. Utilize this chakra to generate multiple pillars of rock from the ground which converge on him, not attacking him but instead coming together to create a bamboo-like thicket of rock. The prison, regardless of whether or not the pillars its made of have sharp edges cannot be used to attack the opponent in any way. This is a purely supplementary/defensive type technique

    Descripton: This technique allows the ninja to control nearby stone and rock. This can be especially useful if in a cave or a stone lodging. The technique can loosen the rocks and cause them to come raining down on whomever is trapped inside.


    Now, continue on to focus your doton chakra into the ground, this time manipulating it to alter the structure of the bamboo prison you have just constructed. Loosen the rocks within the individual pillars, causing it to become too fragile to stand up on its own. The rocks will come raining down on top of him, resulting in a moderate cave-in which buries everything inside.

    Key Points: Quite the useful jutsu, useful inside of caves and indoor surroundings.

    I start to build up my charka in my feet. When I have enough charka I mold it into earth style charka. Once I have enough earth style charka I make the hand signs Rat → Horse → Dog → Snake. Once I finished making the seals I focus my charka into the ground where sensei's clone is located. This causes multiple pillars of earth to rise up however they don't attack the clone but come to to create a bamboo-like thicket of rock. Than I mold some more earth style charka into my feet. Once I have enough charka I release it into the pillars making them to fragile to stand up on their own and this causes them to fall down onto the clone after a while

    Description: The user will first perform the required hand seals Rabbit → Boar → Rat → Horse → Tiger → Snake and then by flowing concentrated chakra from one's palms into the Dragon Veins flowing underground, one can tear the earth apart, creating large chasms by firstly raising the earth in the desired location and then splitting that peice of earth through the center. The length, width, direction, and curve of the chasm are all up to the user. Manipulating the Dragon Veins requires fine chakra control, but if one has such skill, they can use this technique to divide the space between the enemy and their own team in two, destroy enemy camps or defences, and even to attack.
    Note: This does not split the earth appart directly to cause opponents to fall in the fissure.


    For this next technique, I want you to perform the following handseal sequence: Rabbit → Boar → Rat → Horse → Tiger → Snake. After completing the sequence, focus your chakra into the earth below you, molding to manipulate ground itself to create a large split. Hence afterwards, manipulate both sides to curve and rise upwards.

    Key Points: This is particularly useful in destroying enemy camps or settlements. During it battle, it can be used to act as a drainage-like system which water rushing towards you falling deep into the fissure.

    (Doton: Tsuchi Douyou no Hira) – Earth Release: Earth Shaking Palm

    Description: After performing snake hand seal the user slams their hand on the ground. The result is that the ground becomes heavily turned up with chunks of rubble popping out of the ground. This technique is used as a means to distract opponents to either create an escape or follow through with a surprise attack.


    To perform this next technique, form the snake handseal before focusing your doton chakra into your dominant hand. Once the chakra is at your hand, strike the ground with your chakra coated hand. With the additional force from the Earth chakra, the ground will be turned up with chunks of rocks and a cloud of dust which will definitely block the vision of your opponent, unless he's a doujutsu user or capable of sensing you via other means.

    Key Points: Not a bad jutsu, useful for Taijutsu fights.

I mold my charka into splitting the earth apart. As the earth splits apart I focus my charka into the earth around it and focus on making the earth rise up and curve upward. Next I mold my charka into my dominant hand as I make a snake hand sign. After I make the snake hand sign I turn the charka inside of my dominant hand into earth style charka. Once I have enough earth style charka I strike the ground with my chakra coated hand. This cause the ground will be turned up with chunks of rocks and a cloud of dust.

    [COLOR="#696969"]It looks like a half-tiger/ram, is the symbol of combat and is a universal sign of engagement between shinobi. It represents half of a seal that might be used to activate a ninjutsu. Look at the seal being used in the image below


    Gather your chakra then perform the Snake then Seal of Confrontation. Once done, channel the gathered chakra through your chakra network and to your arm you wish to encase. Once the chakra is at the arm, manipulate it, mold it to create a covering of Earth. As I mentioned earlier, encasing it has several advantages, the most evident being able to deal a more powerful strike.

    Key Points: Due to properties of Earth, the rock encasing has great mass, which increases the force of the user's fist. The other thing is, thanks to the rock encasing the arm, when striking certain substances/surfaces/persons, the user's hand is protected from harm such as burns or bone fracture. It's a great addition for Taijutsu techniques. It can be further strengthened by using it along with the Added/Light Weight techniques.

    Description: The user after performing the required hand seals Ram → Dog → Rat → Bird is able to create a wide tunnel in the ground, this cannot travel through rock though or anything with a high density. The large tunnel that is created allows the user to transport others without detection.
    Note: The initial entry of the technique is short range.


    To perform it, gather your Earth chakra then channel it through your chakra nework and into the ground below you. Perform the Ram → Dog → Rat → Bird , then use the chakra to manipulate the Earth, create an opening large enough for someone to pass through. The tunnel is started short range from the user, but it can extend to the widest range.

    Key Points: If you specialize in Doton or can get this jutsu off in time, its a useful evasionary tactic. In my fight against Songbird/Luna, she used it particularly well.

    I start to mold my charka into my left arm. Once I have enough charka I change the nature of the charka into earth style. Once the required charka is converted into earth style charka I make the following two hand signs snake → Seal of Confrontation. I than release the charka causing my arm to get encased in rock. I proceed to punch large boulder. After the rock covering my left arm falls off I mold my charka into my feet. Once I have enough charka in my feet I convert the charka into earth style charka. Once the required charka is converted into earth style charka I make the following hand seals Ram → Dog → Rat → Bird. After I make those hand seals I release the charka into the ground to my left. This creates a tunnel in the ground.

    Earth Flow Wave is a technique which allows the user to create and travel on a wave of Earth. It can be further manipulated to create a large needle which can impale the opponent. To perform it, gather your Earth chakra then channel it through your chakra network and into the ground below you. Perform the needed handseals, Rat, Snake then Tiger. Once the chakra is channeled into the Earth, use it to manipulate the Earth, create a wave which rises below you.

    Key Points: None.

    (Doton: Retsudo Tenshin) - Earth Release: Violent Heavenly Earth Needle

    This jutsu is basic shape manipulation, with the Flow Wave already created, channel more chakra into it, then manipulate that chakra to change the shape of the tip of the Earth Wave, forming a sharp edge. For this to be successful, you must perform the Snake handseal.

    Note: Despite the wave being a B-Rank, this technique is a C-Rank. Make sure to take note of that.

I than proceed to release my charka causing a wave of earth to rise up and send me towards my target. I mold my charka into my feet. Once I have enough charka I change my element to earth style. After that I make this hand seal Snake. I jump off the wave as I release my charka causing the wave to hit my target after it forms into a sharp point

    Now, I want you to perform the Snake Handseal before releasing your doton chakra into the ground below. Mold that same chakra to cause two wall-shaped sections of rock to rise up and around my clone (either side of him) before causing both of the walls to converge one another to crush him.

    Key Points: Requires contact with the ground (you must be standing on it).

    (Doton: Hokoriheki no Jutsu ) - Earth Release: Dust Wall Technique

    Description: The user will manipulate their chakra releasing it into the ground and with a wave of their arm or through the application of a weapon can cause a small wall of dust particles and sand to rise up from the ground and thrusting forwards. This technique creates a simple dust screen that will fade away after 3 turns.


    Focus your doton chakra into the ground and then release it by waving your arm or a weapon (e.g. a sword) in its place. The waving action will cause the tiny pieces of dust, rock and debris residing on the ground to rise up and form into a wall capable of blinding the opponent. You can thrust this towards the opponent if they're at a distance and the dust screen will last for a maximum of three turns before fading away.

    Key Points: Actually a good technique for close combat. No handseals (instead its a nonchalant flick of the arm or sword) and it can be used to blind the opponent to create an opening.

    ( Doton: Rokkuhanmā ) - Earth Release: Rock Hammer

    Description: The user manipulates their chakra and creates a huge rock from the ground that will rise up, hammering the opponent by slamming it down from above them.


    Release your doton chakra into the ground before utilizing it to extract a huge rock from the earth. Control the rock to hover above your opponent's position before causing it to forcefully "hammer" down on their head, causing severe concussive damage.

    Key Points: Range makes this limited but otherwise its an ok technique.

    I mold my Charka into the the balls of my feet. Once I have enough Charka I change its nature to earth style. I than make a snake hand seal and release my Charka into the ground beneath my feet. This causes two wall shaped sections of rock to emerge from the ground next to sensei's clone. The two sections of rock converge on sensei's clone from the left and right crushing the clone. I mold my Charka into my feet again. I change the Charka to earth style. I than let my Charka seep into the ground. Once I let enough Charka seep into the ground I wave my arm in a nonchalant way. After this happens I release my Charka. This causes dust, rock, and debris to fill the air and form into a wall before collapsing and creating a smoke screen. I mold my Charka into my feet again. For the third time I change my Charka to earth style. I than let a bit if my Charka flow into my hands. Once I have enough Charka I release it into the ground and extract a huge rock from the ground. Using the Charka in my hands I control the rock to hover over my targets position before hammering down on my targets head.
