[Discussion] Edo tensei and the 4th hokage

I got a bit confusd, after reading the battle Oro vs 3rd

Oro uses Edo, to summon 3 coffines:
1. 1st hokage
2. 2nd hokage
3. got ownd by shuriken

3rd hokage uses the sealing method that sealed the kyubi in exchange for the life of the 4th hokage.

From what what was writen, the souls taken / sealed with this jutsu are to fight for ever inside or something. Also, from what i understand, you CANT summon someone who was/used this jutsu ( look fo topics bout kabutomaru and edo - most ppl on the www say that the 1 / 2 / 3 / 4 hokage cant be summoned due to edo. )

Now for the question, if the 4rd cant be summoned by kabutomaru with edo, the who was in the 3rd coffin in the fight oro vs 3rd hokage ?

Am i wrong bout something or is it just a flaw from the author of naaruto ?

In the manga they never showed who was in the last coffin, and i don't think who was in it, but i don't think it was the 4th

Orochimaru's secondary goal in using that technique was to inflict psychological damage as well as physical damage.

I would still think it is the 4th even though he used the Death Reaper sealing tech. It is like the only one that would make sense and the flash tech which would really make sure he wanted to stop it. Btw it wasn't stopped with shuriken it was stopped by him weaving a few signs. Oro used the summons as a shield from the shadow shuriken tech

The one in the 3rd casket was The Fourth Hokage, The 3rd Hokage stop it for a lot's of reson manly He did not whant Naruto to see it and have the 4th Hokage be force to release the Nine Tail Fox on the Village by Orochimaru.

He was refering to the thirds wife not the fourths.. and im pretty sure you got the idea from my post.. but whatever.. i still believe it was the fourth in that coffin... just not sure how it works out when his soul/existence is inside of naruto...

Its a posibility, yes, but:
1. the 1st and the 2nd coffin, sarutobi knew who was in it before the coffin was open ( the signs on them ware 2 ( as in 2nd hokage ? ) and another that i dont know ... or am i wrong ). Sarutobi, was also aware of who was in the 3rd coffin, or it seems so, from what he was thinking.

So if it was the same person as in kabutomarus pokemon club, the question would be, who would shock madara, and be known to the 3rd hokage ?

Not much is known cause it's not like you can practice it. You use it, you're dead afterwards. Hardly any second chances unless you know the fine print of it ( Minato ).

Sarutobi then used some seals because he recognized the tech (being the Professor and the God of Shinobi and all) and he knew a counter. No where did it show that the 3rd coffin was Yondai Hokage. Sarutobi never got a look into the coffin. He just didn't want the battle to become 4 on 1. Orochimaru on his own was enough of a challenge already. Perhaps it was Yondai Kazekage (Gaara's father), who Orochimaru had just recently killed.

One thing I don't understand is how Minato used Shiki Fujin to split Kyuubi into yin and yang and then sealed one in Naruto and one in the toad scroll. What did the Shinigami take then when he took Minato's soul? Odd...

thats is not particular true. Hiruzen knew that Oro. was summoning the 1st and 2nd hokage due to the fact that there names were on the coffin. he figured that the 4th would the last one so he stopped it due the fact that he didnt want to fight him or for that matter the 1st or the 2nd and he said he didnt want to them. Now as for Oro. he could kick his azz easily and he should've. On top of that he should've kilt his crasy azz when they discovered he was experimenting on ppl during the 3rd ninja WW. And the thing about yin and yang im with you on that i dnt know bout. but im guessing that little frog dude in naruto might explain it if naruto lives through his fight with sasuke or not since its really irrelavent to the story line
