Naruto will battle his evil side and in doing so realise he can not win...

He will realise fighting his hate is another act of hate and in doing so only fuels his hatred of himself and how he feels deep down.

So I reckon he will chose not to fight his darker self and refuse to acknowledge it... In doing so... overcoming his hate...

i could also see naruto fighting him until he realizes that its useless because they fight the exact same, so then naruto will just let the evil naruto go all out on him until he realizes no matter how many times he knocks naruto down he wont give up

Do nothing and except it, what would be the purpose in winning the fight. He will never not have hate in his heart thats impossible. he is only fighting the darkness and in doing so making it stronger. Why fight the kyuubi when he could be your biggest asset. Not fighting is block the will of your own heart, not fighting is blocking the evil will. Its the most ovous solution. The kyuubi only comes out after Naruto losses himself and excepts his will, the same is being done here Naruto is letting the evil self fight him becasue Naruto is letting him fight him. Ignore him when Naruto ignored the kyuubi when he faced Sasuke the second time it didn't come out.

Well what if Kishi took a shot at Kubo by having Naruto imagining himself in a grandiose fashion fighting with a sword? Then it wouldn't be real, and at the same time as mocking Bleach? haha. We already know that naruto has love in his heart. But the concern is eliminating or/and controlling his hate so that the Kyubii can no longer latch onto it...

You may be onto something however... Perhaps he will have to fill his heart with only love to generate control over the Kyubii... Much like casting a patronus <.<... Yah!

But having said that... that is the same as eliminating hate... Only leaving room for love which has been covered in the manga...

Maybe Naruto needs to get back in there against his shadow with a free hugs sign plastered around his neck?

I personally believe that darkness can never leave someone's heart... the only thing naruto needs to do is to not let his hatred take over... a serene state of calm and self composure seems to be the goal here.
