    The Sage's Sword misconception

obito said it was imbued with Hagaromo's will, and ideology and thats how he created the world.
but obito was unable to replicate hagaromo's will thus the sword was way weaker than it was in the past in its creator's hand. he has his own ideology and tried to use the sword for power's sake. it was hasty.
thus destroying it isnt that impressive because obito couldnt use its full power much like he cant use juubis full power like haga did

    People live their lives bound
by what they accept as correct
    and true. That’s how they
    define “reality”. But what
    does it mean to be
    “correct” or “true”?
    Merely vague concepts… their
    “reality” may all be a
    mirage.

    Re: The Sage's Sword misconception

this is completely 100 percent correct. I don't understand why people don't get this. It is pretty obvious when Obito explains it

Kakashi was noting how Obito was questioning himself and his ideals. I agree with this thread

I don't like to debate, but
    I've been known to own

    Re: The Sage's Sword misconception

100 people have said this already but this is the clearest put form of it. I'm pretty sure the sudden flashbacks of thoughts Obito shouldn't have even been having in a time like that right before the sword broke means you are correct

also obito has hatred for this world that is another reason for the sword to break

    Nothing gives one person so
    much advantage over another as
    to remain always cool and
    unruffled under all
    circumstances.

Thought he made it clear that nothing he does is as powerful as the sage.....

What I have shown you is
    reality. What you remember,
    that is the illusion.

    Re: The Sage's Sword misconception

Highly false. He said those things are inside the sword. He never stated the sword was powered by them. Big difference.

    Re: The Sage's Sword misconception

It's possible the sword only works based on the sages will. If the sages will is not being applied to the sword it won't work/or have an effect. So it's possible the attack failed because it doesn't comply to the Sages will.

    Re: The Sage's Sword misconception

You have too look at all the translation to get the right meaning (unless the viz has come out):

You also have to remember the sword of Perfect Susanoo has the hype of destroying anything in its path....Which is the opposite of the "creator sword" of the Sage of 6 Paths.
