The vulnerability makes one piece so good. The team effort the bond with his nakama. Naruto doesn't need a team, he makes all other ninjas look like fools. Just like Dragonball, at some point the author ends up in a spiral he cannot break, because he started to power up everything. Goku started fighting with a stick he ended up super sayian 6 with absorbed dragonballs and shit. One piece has a bit more realism to it (apart from the devilfruits and skyislands ofcourse).
