Perhaps they were simply saving time & energy on this one, to make the next episode with better animation.

This is really f***ed up man....ep 167's animation was bad as hell but now we have to wait 2 weeks for the nest episode???wats with the animators man???dnt they have like a huge team or something to finish the job in time and quality??this is the worst animation in the whole naruto series...i just re-watched sasuke vs orochimaru episode and that animation was better than this 167 episode....look at pain's face and when he runs man he looks like a roadrunner....thats really messed up...the detail is very low....its really hard to beleive this episode came from the same animators...
Very disapointed..though they wanted to show that this episode had more action and it was fast....i wish it had some detailed animation then man this episode wud have been the best....

Craptastic Animation and I was kinda disappointed. It was good but compared to previous Animation it does seem like the quality has dropped and now we have to wait 2 weeks and hope they stop smoking crack long enough to get it right.
