I would say only about 10 days tops. An episode comes out around once a week with only a few breaks throughout the year, and I doubt they make up for lost time in those few week breaks.

Approximately 6-7 weeks for the average episode. It can vary a bit depending on if the team doing a particular episode is short staffed or heavily staffed.

There is one particular team that has been pumping out episodes every 4-5 weeks for Shippuden, but that is mainly because there is a lot of extra people working on that team.

There is a rotation of 6-8 different teams constantly working on separate episodes.

So to give an example, take the team that just finished this weeks upcoming episode, they should have just started working on episode 355 which is 8 weeks away.

Episodes are created in advance, that's why they are able to show "next episode" trailers; it's not a last minute task, you know.

On topic, it actually depends on how many people there are animating in a team, and the priority of the quality/fluidity of the animation is. It takes days to create an episode from scratch. Drawing them frame by frame, making line arts for them, coloring them, syncing them, voicing characters, adding sound effects, making backgrounds, editing them, compiling them in one single video and then producing them. If you were asking for an approximate, then I'd say it'd be around 10-16 days minimum (again, depending on quality/fluidity).

It AT LEAST takes a month to make one episode. You underestimate how long it takes, especially for some high quality episodes.

People just don't realize how difficult being an animator actually is. They are often overworked and underpaid to the extreme.

Imagine sitting there day after day for 10-12 hours a day (sometimes even more), and just constantly pump out hundreds and thousands of separate drawings, and they're usually on a very strict deadline to finish.

There are osme good articles out there detailing how bad the conditions are for some of them, but I'm too lazy to dig one down right now.

So for instance how much time do you think it took episode 322?
