Well that would make sex quite awkward. Don't get me wrong, I'm all for treating all other's with respect, be they female, male, transgender whatever. However I'm not going to think of a potential girlfriend as my mother or as a sister (now if you mean in the aspect that they are a mother, or they are someone's sister then well why wouldn't that stop anyone from having sex? I mean everyone has a mother and a lot of people have sisters but I feel like you're going more for the "as your sister/mother aspect") to respect her as a person. That in a way demeans her and is in a way a form of disrespect well in my opinion which I can only speak from opinion on this matter anyway. It would be seeing her as someone or something that she isn't and instead of acting as if she's my sister or my mother I and well honestly everyone should treat a girl with the same respect you would anyone. As a person, a human being someone who deserves a sense of respect well until they do something to lose that respect.

Why in the heck would anyone treat a potential mate like a sibling, or a maternal/paternal figure. That's just-... well weird in my humble opinion. I mean honestly, I don't expect my girlfriends to act like my mother, or my sister and I would much rather she didn't.

What you're doing isn't helping anyone, it's adding to the problem. You're trying to do something and say something that gives me the vibe that you simply like to be a white knight. A 'nice guy' in all honesty I've been at that point xD it's not the best place to be. After relationship problems I've worked through the 'nice guy' thing and instead aim to be an all around good person instead. A nice guy and the nice guy routine are both good and bad. Your heart is in the right place but your brain isn't. You want to be nice and you want to treat women with respect but instead you're objectifying them in a totally different way. Instead of treating them like a "sex toy" (your words not mine) you're treating them like something that should be put up. Something that should be safe, and pure untouched by man's hands.

Honestly something women like to do-... and don't think I'm lying about this is have sex. However they (at least in my opinion I don't have a vagina so I can't jump up and say it's fact) don't want to be just used, this is the same for men. We'd rather have a meaningful relationship then something like a one night stand thing. Obviously there are times when one night stands come into play and some people like that sort of thing etc etc I'm ranting now time to-... oh look an rp thread.

As I stated, you can treat anyone with respect without treating them like a sibling or treating them as if they are someone's sister or mother. I'm pretty sure a mother is proud that she is a mother but doesn't want to only be defined as a mother. Also someone's sister, doesn't want to simply be defined as someone's sister, they want to be treated as a person. An individual, then again as I've also said I'm just speaking from opinion. :p Also, as I said, his heart was in the right place in my opinion, just maybe his brain wasn't (not insulting him, I've been there).
