Jiraiya Vs Itachi ?

Who would win it ? Both fighters are at full strenght
Jiraiya can summon Ma and Pa and gamabunta ! He starts of in sage mode
Itachi is at full strenght and is not going to die of a sickness :D
Though Itachi said Jiraiya was stronger then him and Kisame ... Having seen itachi fight has put a doubt in my mind ... I think he could win because he is an extremly strong character and because he also has Susanoo and the totsuka sword and the yata mirror

already thousand times discussed and never finally answered^^ i say itachi, since he can abuse susano'o or amaterasu. but of course jirayas sm counters his genjutsus pretty good.

Well if Jiraiya summons the elders, then he becomes immune to genjutsu, which would be Itachi's first attack. Sage mode ends a fight pretty quickly, but so does The Mangekyou. It would come down to the smallest of details. But against the sharingan, the more ppl the better. More toads = greater chance of winning.

You're forgetting Kisame living sword can not absorb Sage Natural energy, it would turn into a frog then to stone and if Kisame absorb it He two would meet the same faith. And Frog kata is superior to regular Taijutsu. Itachi would face Jiraiya alone, plus the toads Jiraiya would summon to His aid.

jiraiya.itachi is a a favorite of mine but the toad sage is one of the most powerful peaple to walk the narutoverse.this fight could not be won in itachis favor.IMO the only person that could finish of jiraiya already did....excluding the obvious sasuke and naruto who are the two gifted souls that would down anyone basically

O come on we all know why Itachi did'nt fight with Jiriya.
If you dont know the it's because he didnt want to weaken the leaf village or even get the nine tale demon fox he just came to the village for the motive to protect sasuke threaten Danzo not to kill sasuke and to prove the akatsuki that i tried to get naruto but master jiriya came in the way simple...
Also according to facts Orchimaru was the strongest of the sanins and itachi took him hands down when he was like 14...

Itachi and Kisame was weaker then, dude... Itachi and Kisame wasn't after Naruto. Itachi went to the village to show the "elders, I'm still alive" After the death of 3rd kage. Itachi never really wanted to capture Naruto. Since then to Itachi's death It's been like few years, Itachi got much stronger as for jiraiya not much changed he was already at his climax. When Itachi escape the toads stomach he used amasertsu , it wasn't fully mastered.

But wouldn't you agree that Itachi and kisame wasn't after Naruto? When Tobi was telling sasuke about Itachi he said "Itachi went to kohona right before the 3rd kage died to tell the elders "IM STILL ALIVE". Itachi loved kohona and still do, why would he take Naruto? He only pretended that he was after Naruto but his true intentions were to warn the elders. And soon Itachi had to rely on Naruto to fix up sasuke. Itachi did not want to fight Jiraiya because technically he was on his side. I can see why you would say Jiraiya can beat Itachi it's an opinion after all.

jman wins it all the way , we all know that itachi can't use MS during all the fight so he can't keep susanoo + accessories all the time, and if he does he dies . And taijutsu in sage mode is much greater than normal so Jma wins in the taijutsu . And genjutsu is useless against Jiraiya because of his toads . And then there is ninjutsu , I think Jman has a bigger arsenal and more experience than itachi !!

To be honest I just don't see how Jiraiya could counter the sword of totsuka and the yata mirror. His only chance would be the frog song genjutsu, but we don't know how effective that would be against the sharingan.

we all know that in part 2 kakashi is a kage level ninja and Itachi again was toying with him because his motive is to protect the leaf village!

Jiraiya Could also toy with kakashi if he were to ever battle him.

Jiraiya never fought Oro with 100% strength, when Oro had his arms damaged Jiraiya was at only 30% strength due to tsunades sedative and tsunade herself was already injured. Oro did not kill the 3rd, the 3rd sacraficed himself to try to stop him. Tsunade says to jiraiya that the 3rd always wanted him to be the one to succeed him as hokage NOT orochimaru.
