It pains me to announce that this is the last week of manga reading on One Manga (!!). Manga publishers have recently changed their stance on manga scanlations and made it clear that they no longer approve of it. We have decided to abide by their wishes, and remove all manga content (regardless of licensing status) from the site. The removal of content will happen gradually (so you can at least finish some of the outstanding reading you have), but we expect all content to be gone by early next week (RIP OM July 2010).

So what next? We're not really sure at this point, but we have some ideas we would like to try out. Until then, the One Manga forums will remain active and we encourage all of you to continue using them. OMF has developed into a great community and it would be a shame to see that disappear.

You can also show us some love in this moment of sadness by 'liking' our brand new Facebook page. It would be nice to see just how many of you came to enjoy our 'better than peanut butter and jelly' invention.


Regardless of whether you stay with us or not, on behalf of the One Manga team, I would like to thank you all for your unwavering support over the years. Through the ups and downs you have stuck with us, and that is what kept us going.

first of all this is bullshit there will be always free manga no organization or state can stop this. music industry tryd it realy hard and had bilions of dollars and they didnt even make a scratch they close a site and on the same day 10 new open the same is for manga even if they close the current sites new will open and provide fresh manga true the delivery might be a bit delayed but a manga will always find a way to us!!

this is due to the fact that onemanga basically archives all the mangas they have from start to finish.. sites like mangastream probably won't have this problem since they only keep a few of the recent chapters...

If You can read more than just English, go to foreign Web Sites in Spanish, German, Chinese and so on. Foreign language of Naruto 504 are out.

This thread should be closed this is like the second or third topic about this the guy who started it is just spamming. Yes manga has technically never been free. But Managstream is still gonna continue to put out chapters until they are forced to stop and that's if they are. Then guess what will happen another site doing the same thing will start up after that. Regardless of what publishers do, until they can release across the globe at the same time there will always be scanlators and translators because no one wants to wait longer for their favorite manga to come out some don't even release in certain countries.

This sounds strangely familiar.. Ohh yes, the music industry has been trying to do this for YEARS now.

I'm actually an international business major, so I know everything the license owner (in this case, Jump?) will attempt to do. Between Countries of trade, their tend to be license agreements. Every country that America trades with (not all of them do this..that's right, I'm lookin' at you, China!) are expected to uphold licenses and copyright protect.

So, of course, these countries with things to offer back (in this case, Japan with a comic to a quite-big foreign fan base) will try to contest the safety of their property in American courts. They'll go after every web-source that has postings of its property and, but of course, attempt to sue.

But, my fellow fans, not to worry! Even if they could fight against every website, more and more will pop up. The US has been fighting the same type of websites that store copyrighted material and display them for free, however, the servers that these websites host their information keep changing location and are sourced from individual users (Torrents). If I had to place a bet, I'd say they wouldn't be able to win this war by the time Naruto's story is finished anyway.

I went to onemanga and it said it would be taking off all manga content as of july20th. But one the other manga site I visited, I saw no such notification. So maybe its just some thing with One manga.

exactly. Naruto Shippuden and Naruto Manga are always threatened, but can never be completely banned from the web. It's not possible. People will always create new websites and scan/upload manga to them.
