I thought it was epic.. to find out how his parents gave up their lives to for his future.. to know their finals words to him.. and then being able to reply to his mother.. and then bid her a final farewell as she fades away...

hearing all this only strengthens his resolve even more for his quest to be the greatest.. can't wait to see how the story progresses from here..

gonna miss kushina..


i just hope the next 5 chapters are not gonna be concentrated on sasuke now.. gonna be a real buzzkill..

EPIC! One of my favorite chapters so far. I really like how Kishimoto shows the relationship of Minato & Kushina. One line is funny, next is emotional, next is parental-like. So well written.

Poor Naruto... I mean we all knew it was coming, but at the same time it's sad to see what he had to grow up without. But at the same time it's good he knows his parents and even better he accepted him, as this will do nothing but strengthen his resolve.

Brilliant chapter, and when this is being portrayed in the anime along with good music and a nice bowl it is going to be epic!!
But now to Naruto learning Kyuubi Mode, sealing and wind techniques. And Naruto smashing Hinata. And Naruto slapping Sakura and saying, "I am legendary, so gtfo my face and leave me alone, you are useless.." lol
Time to see Sasuke's new eyes, and war preparations, and Kisame (who is doing Lord alone knows what right now).
It was a great flashback, but now, time for the real business to start!!

Yeah you are right. For eample, Bleach doesn't give the same feeling as Naruto when you read it.

it was an ok chapter. i think they could have reduced kushinas "want something to say" story down abit and had naruto come out of his "just sealed the fox" state and give a determined look or something.

wonder whats next on naruto's agenda. maybe back to sage mode training.
16 pages and being dragged on abit kinda ruins it so only 4 out of 5. think i was kinda generous though but it did have some good factors too.

well im sure he's gonna stand up n have some kinda determined look on his face n b like im gonna kill madara or something like that. i think that if he comes out smiling n s*&t it'll send the wrong message like he's gonna wanna go hug madara or something.

that was good chapter... had a knot in my throat reading it kinda sad that they didnt wanna put him through that but had no choice....good shit from Kishi and glad we got that whole incident cleared up and outta the way.

Business is about to pick up and i expect some movement from sasuke and company in the coming chapters....funny how Tobi/Madara left out the part of him getting his ass beat by Minato 16yrs ago when he talked to sasuke...of course you don't wanna look like a punk in front of Sasuke...so we can assume he lied to Sasuke about that part...the rest I don't know.

I give this flashback arc a 5 coz eventho it took like 5 chapters it was damn good and we saw the FTG from Minato!!!

Super sad chapter but a great 1 cannot wait to see what Naruto will be able to do with his new power & see what direction the manga will start heading in. But 1 thing is for sure Madara needs to get his balls chopped off for what he did & i hope Naruto is the 1 who does it lol

Damn dude, such an emotional chapter, Minato was really a bad ass Hokage. I guess we find out how he dies, as well as Kushina, man that sucks, if Naruto only opened his eyes when he was a kid, he would have seen what might have been his parents, but i guess it's better off not knowing and keeping the truth hidden. Short chapter though, 15 pages only? should have made it 20, i wouldn't mind!! :D

Clearly an amazing chapter!! Everything that happened had to be said, we have been waiting to see how Naruto got the beast sealed in him from the very beginning of this Manga and the flashback arc was totally necessary in everyway!!

Kudos again to the 4th and to Kushina for the self sacrifice, they are so the bomb!

Question ... why didn't Minato seal all of the Kyuubi in Naruto??? Was he too big originally to seal by himself?

I can't believe how much smaller the Kyuubi got after the Dead Demon seal, that was surprising! And still it's so powerful, powerful enough to break out of Pain's planetary destruction, so awesome! Kushina's sealing power was rediculous if it was able to hold down the full Kyuubi like that. Totally amazing!

Kushina also wanted Naruto to find someone like herself ... that seems like it could be Sakura the way that she heats up and explodes like that ... does that forbode something??

I can totally see Naruto trying to find out more about the Flying Thunder God tech and some Time/Space ninjutsu techniques. I feel he'll need that in order counter Sasuke and Madara. Can't wait for that battle!!

i wonder if naruto will be able to turn into the 9 tailed fox like bee can with the 8 tails i bet he going to be bad at it like he is doing rasengan with one hand (which if i were him id learn how to do instead of always using clones it would be more effective but maybe the fox's power can help that)

Afaik, the tailed beasts power cumulatively increase from 1 to 9. So half of 9 tails power probably is greater than even 8 tails beast.

I think we do know that the 9 tails is the most powerful of the tailed beasts, but I don't think it is ever stated that half its strength is more than the 8 tails. Still, it did overpower the 8 tails when Naruto was fighting it.

What I don't get is why Minato sealed away half the nine tails chakra in the first place. Was it to permanently make the fox less powerful? Was it because he couldn't seal the whole fox inside Naruto for some reason? If it was to make it less powerful, why would you want to do that? To give Naruto a better chance of gaining control over it? Kishi doesn't really make it clear, which is rather annoying. I hope he clarifies that at some point.

Not the worst, not the greatest... Next chapter I think Naruto will tell Bee and Yamato what happened after he took control of the kyuubi, and we'll probably get to see Sasuke's eyes...
