Will Gai open the 8th Gate?

The title speaks for itself. Opening the 8th Gate uses up all of the body's energy and forces the heart to pump at its maximum rate, resulting in death for the user.

I think that Gai will open it - he just seems headstrong enough to do it, and Kisame seems really strong, even in a semi-weakened state.

Also, we've seen that in Naruto's new 9-tails form, he releases what seems to be "life energy". It was enough to turn Yamato's wood totems into large trees in a matter of seconds. So maybe if Gai opens the 8th Gate and kills Kisame, Naruto can "heal" Gai back to normal and save him from dying.

Anyone agree/disagree?

idk about naruto healing guy because the fox only alters other elements i don't think he can alter human body's.

opening it will mean certain death... I don't think its Gai's time to be gone I really hope its an epic battle thou! Gai is too important to the series in a strange way without him it would just be strange but then again the third hokage was a badass character so we'll have to wait and see but if he does survive this one he will def be out of comission for a while healing from the 7th gate

it's not sure cuz the last gate is " death gate" which is located in heart of the user. when the vital area is damaged it's a bit difficult to heal.but since naruto new seal has life energy may be he will save after he uses or may

Gai will most likely be forced to open the 8th gate and after the battle is over, Kisame will prevail, Gai will die, Samehada being left alone with Killer Bee, will consume Bee, and Kisame will reunite with Samehada and they will escape off the island, the shark with the scroll will escape to Madara.

I don't think that Naruto will be able to heal Gai at all. gaining 3 plus techs after overcoming the fox is a little Overkill. 1 - Gigantic Sensor Power, 2 - Super Insane Speed, 3 - Ability to revive/insane heal someone after opening the 8th gate.

Gai will not die^^ - more like this:
The fight is on its limit and gai just see only possibility to win when 8th Gate! So he prepares for opening (his body is alreaddy totally messed up and only the Lotus keeps him up cuz of no pain). Right in this moment Naruto pops out of nowhere hitting Kisame with lightspeed and trys to finish him off. Kisame will try to absord his Charkra with Samehada but the SO6P chakra (cloak) is too insane making his sword burn to death. Now Kisame umarmored gonna DIE by rasengan combo or will escape somehow ^^

i not think gai going to open 8th gate because he still love his student- Lee. Gai have to teach sweet jutus to Lee. if gai die then who can teach him? gai will feel bad.
i think if gai fail to beat kisame then naruto will because he will recover fast. i guess

Yeah Kakashi explained it during lee vs gaara battle at the prelimanary round of the chuunin exams... so I doubt there is a Naruto will heal Gai in the scence anywhere

Maybe...Just MAYBE there's this possible...
naruto successfully took the fox chakra and gain new power
which we haven see it all and the epic speed which he kicked kisame

and when he use the chakra, his whole body full which left force
maybe...he can use the life force and heal gai ? at least gai won't die

i think that gai will open the 8th gate n will be super injured...........he will be at the edge of his life then naruto will come n heal him..........
just to continue this storyline the author showed us how naruto's life force changed wood made by yamato into a living tree......As for kisame even if he died in battle, the shark will take the info to Madara.....
