Will Gai open the 8th Gate?

i think that gai will open the 8th gate n will be super injured...........he will be at the edge of his life then naruto will come n heal him..........
just to continue this storyline the author showed us how naruto's life force changed wood made by yamato into a living tree......As for kisame even if he died in battle, the shark will take the info to Madara.....

Even if that happens the story Kisame has written dose not will not have an important info in it, That Naruto can bring the dead back to life, if Guy dies and is resurrected by Naruto, for it would be the end of Kabutos toys fully alive and free will, then Nagato and Itachi would join Naruto against Kabuto and Madara. Either way Gay open 8 Gate He is dead.

The title speaks for itself. Opening the 8th Gate uses up all of the body's energy and forces the heart to pump at its maximum rate, resulting in death for the user.

I think that Gai will open it - he just seems headstrong enough to do it, and Kisame seems really strong, even in a semi-weakened state.

Also, we've seen that in Naruto's new 9-tails form, he releases what seems to be "life energy". It was enough to turn Yamato's wood totems into large trees in a matter of seconds. So maybe if Gai opens the 8th Gate and kills Kisame, Naruto can "heal" Gai back to normal and save him from dying.

Anyone agree/disagree?

Or perhaps it's time he lets the new generation blossom. I think he is gonna open the eighth gate and die, but stop the shark that Kisame sent.

I made this prediction in another thread but here i go...

I believe Gai will die using the 8th gate but also killing Kisame but however, the scroll manages to get away.
Later on, when the war is in full swing, Kabuto will resurrect Kisame using Edo Tensei.
Lee will then take upon the task to defeat kisame and have revenge for the loss of his sensei and also 'surpass' his teacher, seeing as that is somewhat a recurring theme in the series.

I think that in itself is the nature of their rivalry. Gai has yet to recognize Kisame because for some reason, he just doesn't remember him, and this drives Kisame's hatred of him
Besides, they've conflicted 3 times with neither ending up being the true victor as of yet. I'd call that a rivalry.

But for Gai to die in this fight... it just seems so spontaneous He essentially appeared out of nowhere (although we knew he was on the island) at the end of the chapter before this most recent one, and he immediately enters battle with Kisame. Usually there's a lot of build up to these character-killing battles... Jiraiya's battle with Pein took a LONG time to actually happen, as did the Third's battle with Oro.

That works both ways. It could be Kisame's time to die. Or it could(will) be Gai's time to die. I think that If Gai were to defeat Kisame, he would have no evil enemy to face, Akatsuki is running low on members anyway, all that is left is Invisible Man and Spy Boy. That's it. IF Kisame were to be killed, I hope he is resurrected and kills Gai and Lee in the 4th ninja War.

I agree completely. To me Gai just seems like one of those characters who just shouldn't die. the information they are trying to intercept isn't worth dyinig. there will be a war whether or not that information makes it to akatsuki, and Gai needs to be there to help his comrads.

my opinion, gai won't open the 8th gate....he won't die, he may be very injured after this fight, but not dead....we saw gai opening his 6-gates lotus and walking after that, so 7-gates and this fight shiuld put him aside for a while

I kinda hope naruto isnt able to heal him if he does. It would kind of suck if kishi would just revive every character thats died. The only time he hasnt is with asuma. I mean, he revived everyone who died in konoha with pain, he revived gaara. And hinata shouldve died when she got in the way. I dont think pain wouldve missed a spot to kill her when she wasnt even able to move. I think this will show that it truly is war if gai dies

No I don´t think Gai will open the 8th gate, he is certainly going to die if he opens it and he is not that stupid to open it. Gai is a life freak he loves life he would never throw his life away just like that. This is an important battle but not a battle he would open the 8th gate which means 100% death. I think that their power blasts just smashes in to each other and becomes a huge explosion and they will continue fighting. Or Gai will hit Kisame who survives but that everybody will think is dead and will appear once again and battle Gai. Gai is too important of a character in the story , so I really don´t think that he will die. I would be freaking sad if he would, it would be a massive loss. No! Gai will not die! Go Gai Sensei! youth power!
Rock lee will snap and go berserk if Gai sensei dies and he will hunt Kisame down like a dog and slaughter him total psycho style.
