Madara probably gave the Rinnegan to Nagato for some unknown reason, maybe knowing that his Hatred and pain would be best for later on. Yahiko was confronted by Madara who told him to start Akatsuki, then he hid in the shadows. So either Nagato was transplanted the Rinnegan at some age or Madara somehow gave it to him and now wants it back.

But who was the previous owner of the Rinnegan, some other unknown ninja or was it Madara, then Nagato, and now maybe Madara again.

It could all be a lie. the manga seems to be turning into something like out of Lost. and they may not even make an answer to Madara actually giving nagato the rinnegan. Not only we are not getting the answers to long awaited questions but the same thing goes for the characters in Naruto. Its all a ploy to keep us hanging on. IMO.

Madara telling Yahiko to form Akatsuki is completely plausable. I mean, considering that if what Madara says is true about giving Nagato the rinnegan, he probably gave it to him secretly when he was born, waiting for him to awaken it. He told Yahiko to form akatsuki, and then told the hidden rain leader to turn on Yahiko, making sure he died. After he died, Madara promised Nagato a place of peace with the moon's eye plan, just like he did to Kisame. Madara manipulated Nagato and Yahiko all along.

it might be possible that there were other users of the Rinnegan that only Madara knew about. But to answer your question, no he didn't fall he is floating in the air across from Konan.

if all of this is true then htf did he get it i thought that only the s06p had that and he died a long time ago + i thought u had to be born with it so was tobi born with it then just took it out and put in a sharingan? and another thing ones he did find the rinnegan if it was in a person wouldn't they be too powerful for tobi to just come up a take their eye balls?

i personally think its a lie just trying to trick her to give her the eye (why not use the eyes since they stronger then sharingen) cause nagato had it when he was a kid when he saw his parents getting killed it activited by itself .....madra aint that fast to put the eyes and stalk nagato whn he was kid ...............it makes no sence its all lies

lol, Nagato got his Rinnegan back when he was J-Raya, btw ages ago, i highly doubt in that, and also i dont understand why didnt jman take em to the village and train them there O.o its Rinnegan how could he just slip it away :D oro would be also all horny around, not to mention Danzo he would just die of infarct

Yeah it all seems to be lies... at what point did he have Yaihiko start Akatsuki? I mean they show Yaihiko die back when he was still with the rain village. It only makes sense if he says he had Nagato start akatsuki

its not lies just cause u dont understand something because it wont be explained for another issue or 2 doesnt mean its a lie i mean obsuily its not its hard to explain but you can tell when someones lieing and not in manga and for those who only read the words and scim the pics you need to pay attetion to the art and facial features it tells have the stroy when you do its like playing a movie in your head and you can even tell what tone someone is using and hes not lying

Madara wants to put the hole world in a super genjutsu were people only see the true t of Madara alone, the true t that He makes you believe. If your in a genjutsu you have no free will. Free Will is Madara enemy.

I doubt Madara gave Nagato the Rinnegan. He's a liar and a bad guys after all. You just can't trust Madara.
