ITS OBVIOUS WHAT THE OBJECT(S) IS THAT ITACHI GAVE NARUTO.

If you recall when Sasuke was fighting Itachi and Oro came out he commented on what Itachi's Susanoo was possessing. Kishi likes to follow Japanese mythology, and if you haven't discovered this by now than do some research. Bottom line is that Itachi gave Naruto this mirror thingy which served as his Susanoo's shield. This mirror according to Japanese mythology is used to show people the "light." So Itachi gave this mirror to Naruto so he can show Sasuke the good in himself aka. the "light." Now it isn't known for sure but its highly probable.

Just look around on the forums. Someone made this brilliant discovery last week I believe in a post.

Kabuto seems to be a force to reckon with, and Old man Onokki looks bad ass too...I think Kabuto has a different motives as oppose to Madara!!!

Yeah I don't remember what each items specifically is. But I believe that Itachi only had two out of three of them. The necklace and mirror thingy perhaps? I bet you Madara has the other one. What ever it is. OH! What if Pain had it on the Deva Path? Maybe. O.O

No, The Deva path has a completely different necklace than what the Sage of Six paths looks like.

Ok. Just a hunch. Good to know thats not the case though. I'm going to do some research to find what these mythological objects are.

So here's the wiki page for Japanses Mythology. You will instantly recognize some of the names from the Naruto Universe whether a character, jutsu, etc. It's very clever how Kishi incorporated these names throughout the entire series.

Hopefully we'll find out shortly. Yes, Naruto's pretty slow, but he's not completely stupid. He'll definately find out very soon if Kabuto has anything to do with it.

Naruto is the personification of light. Just think about it, when Karin (a sensor type) was being carried by Kakashi she said that "even his chakra was the exact opposite of Sasuke's. . . It's Warm and Bright." And when he harnessed and controlled the massive energy of the kyuubi he had such incredible amount of life energy that Yamato's wood element started growing.

yes, thats ok but according to jap mythology there were 3 gods descendants of gods(susanoo, amaterasu & tsukuyomi). they were kids of izanagi & izanami.
izanagi has been shown now it's izanami. it must be some sort of power to beat sasuke's tsukuyomi and show him the real good. thats what itachi was trying to confirm while speaking to naruto that he would keep sasuke alive and save konoha without killing him.

Actually Itachi showed only one of those items, as did Orochimaru. If you would look in wikipedia you will see that the imperial regalia are the following objects:
1) Kusanagi (grass cutter) sword, owned and used by Orochimaru in his fight vs the 3rd hokage, vs 4-tailed kyuubi in the beginning of shippuuden and vs Itachi at the end of the Sasuke vs Itachi fight. Currently sealed away by the Totsuka sword (it disappeared when Itachi sealed Orochimaru so I presume it is in there).
2)Yata no Kagami (Yata's mirror) is the shield that reflects any attack, it was in Itachi's possession during the Sasuke vs Itachi fight. Current owner unknown.
3)Yasakani no Magatama (Yakasani jewel) "is believed to be a necklace composed of jade magatama stones instead of a solitary gem as depicted in popular culture." (in Japanese mythology, text is copied from wikipedia). It has yet to be shown in the Naruto manga.

So Itachi only has one of the imperial regalia items or at least only one is shown to belong to him up until now. There is the possibility he has the necklace but that is yet to be established.
