I believe Kabuto's real intention was delaying Madara. He stopped Madara from attacking the hosts, so they actually gained some more time to escape. Bringing Yamato might have several reasons, such as using him as an excuse, making Yamato know Madara's power then let him escape or really steal his dna.

I believe Kabuto has an agenda different than helping Madara to get Sasuke. He gave intel book about Akatsuki to Naruto, he let those Konoha ninjas find Madara's hideout, now he delayed Madara from his quest.

But I am really disapointed in naruto, he was such a good fighter and really used his head against pain, and even when he fought garra back in te exam war. Why would he be sent on a biology research mission, he's definately smarter than that! He sould at least know that the mission is a fake and that there is some other reason he was sent there.

Great chapter. I believe that Naruto knows that there's some kind of battle going on, but I believe that meeting with his mother has matured him enough to know that him hiding is for the best right now(at least until he can have a direct confrontation with Sasuke who is not after the jinchuriki). I agree that Kabuto has probably been taken over by Orochimaru at this point. As proof remember when Kabuto confronted the Konoha ninjas and showed the part of his body that Orochimaru's cells had intergrated with?:

Kabuto has no snake. Orochimaru didn't find Kabuto until after he left the leaf, so Yamato would not recognize from any other time except when they met on the bridge. As far as Madara, I wonder if having the Rinnengan will allow him to use Izanagi and unlimited number of times? Just something to think about.

I approve this idea. Little details like those are what usually justified a plot twist.

This whole Kabuto/Orochimaru thing remind me of MGS4 Liquid Ocelot thing. In that Kabuto acts and believe he's the real Orochimaru, but he's obviously not. If someone played that game, you'll find alot of similarities in there. (LOL Snakes!)

I think the reason why Madara has one eye Sharingan & one eye Rinnegan because that the way he has to have his eyes set to achieve being the Juubi host? I'm not too sure at first I thought he'd combine both of his Sharingans to both Rinnegans.

Or it could simply be that, his right eye which is the Sharingan is not an ordinary Sharingan because after he used Izanagi, His left eye seemed to close, So that could be why he used the Rinnegan in that eye.

Another thing, What going to happen to the other Rinnegan? Is he going to give it to Sasuke so he could summon that Gedo thing I forgot what it called

Yamato being captured and a bunch of info might be extracted from him, What would happen to him though? will he be merged with that giant vine inside the cave where all the Zetsu's are being held. Can't wait. Plus Madara's eye combo, I guess his EMS is in his right eye which would never lose light or close even if he used Izanagi, So maybe he replaces his left eye for the sole purpose of using Izanagi with it?

My guess on what they might learn.

Naruto Controlling the Nine Tails - Plus his spiritual/sealing boost.
Konoha defense intel or something. Gai's abilities, and maybe even some of the experiments orochimaru did on him.

Also anyone else notice that on page 13, where Yamato was captured and Kabuto started to flee, his snake form or his face looks kinda like Kisame for some reason.

Something is weird about how Yamato and Kabuto exchanged words. IMO yamato must have thought he heard and saw Orochimaru and thats why he said "That voice, that snake"

If Orochimaru really did take over Kabuto, wouldnt he have called Yamato by his real name? I thought he only started going by the name Yamato when he joined narutos squad...

Im glad kishi made it realistic because he couldve easily made kabuto take out a few of them, bringing naruto to the scene of battle.
(kinda wish it did happen that way now that i think about it)

Madara is too powerful now that he has both eyes and i honestly think they should stop treating naruto like a baby, tell him what's going on(dnt think they have a choice now), and let him train with killer bee to realize his true power potential and be ready for whats coming.

Yamato got caught, Deidara was about to get blasted and got drawn back to his coffin heheheh, i think kabuto has not shown anything yet on what he can truly do! madara showing his two eyes was awesome, but what is that other hole for in the middle of his mask (where the third eye would be) you think he might be able to implant another eye? i do not see the point of having and opening in your mask especially if it is the size of an eye and located by the third eye, maybe it's for good ventilation lol

i do not see the point of having and opening in your mask especially if it is the size of an eye and located by the third eye, maybe it's for good ventilation lol

may be something to do with the eye on jubi (sharigan + rinnegan) ......when madara will use a combo of both eye...the third eye (hybrid of sharingan and rinnegan) would appear in that hole....or may be just ventilation :confused::confused::confused: I am confused now

The plot moved very fast, every battle was cut short, Naruto is clearly as stupid as ever, Yamato put up zero fight and Kishi couldn't make up his mind about what Diedera's eye is supposed to look like.

Regarding Yamato, Kabuto said he could make more Zetsu with him. It seems, like maldoror was saying, Kabuto will probably use Yamato for his own gain and let him go later. Seems his main goal was helping the alliance by simply delaying Madara's plan of capturing the hosts, while helping himself in the process.

As for Kabuto becoming Orochimaru, I think it's going to be more like Revolver Ocelot after he had Liquid Snake's arm attached. I think it's more of a psychological thing.

Either way, I hate Kabuto almost as much as Sasuke. I'm pretty sure Kabuto and Sasuke have some kind of secret relationship behind Madara/Tobi's back. Maybe they plan on taking Madara out so they can be married?

let me clear some things up.
btw this is all my opinions and things that others have said that i agree with.

1st.
kabuto...
he is talking to the snake attached to him. (not manda)
that is orochimaru. he attached oro onto himself. SICK!
kabuto is super powerful. he defintely has his own agenda, as was said.
he went there for yamato. he even said he was going to earlier...
he got exactly what he wanted, which was NOT what he said he would get.
and if you look at the part where he says he couldn't win that battle, zetsu is the next frame and his white half looks PISSED and UNTRUSTING.
yamato was nabbed instantly because kabuto is a g.
he had him tied up and captured almost instantly, im sure thats why yamato couldnt escape.. it was almost like when jiraiya would use the frog stomach.

kabuto knows what all their powers are, even aoba it seems. (which he made a note of, and when kabuto makes a note, look out.)
i think that yamato realized that kabuto wasn't just kabuto anymore. LOL.

he knew kabuto from the bridge, but he knew orochimaru from his moment of creation. it was probably very haunting for him to hear, which of course made his capture easier. also yamato made a mistake, he used his last second not to save himself, but to push motoi out of the way. he was too concerned about his friend.
he should have been more concerned about himself, and he might have been, had he known that he was in fact the target. hell kabuto tricked all of them there, EVEN DEIDARA! recalling him as soon as his mission capturing yamato was completed.
Kabuto is a pimp, and all of you hating on him should go back and watch the anime from the beginning and see the intricacy that is kabuto.

I am pissed about him being so stupid and not realizing the bigger picture.
however i have to say, hes always been that way.
plus, yamato is there telling him that about the mission garbage... plus he loves yamato, yamato is one of the only people to ever have been straight with him. he always tells naruto how it really is. (like about hurting sakura as the demon) and he has saved naruto from the possession of the demon fox on occasion. that is how much he trusts yamato. so i cant wholly blame naruto for being so focused on this obviously retarded mission. however, naruto is going to be VERY upset when he realizes that they have lied to him and that his friend/teacher yamato has been captured by kabuto (who he hates) and taken to madara (who he hates).
the unfortunate part, is that naruto is so strong right now, that if they had let him participate, yamato wouldnt have been captured, that i can promise you.
its a real bummer for me, that they still refuse to treat him like a human being.
they still treat him as some force to be controlled and monitored. that is not what the 4th and the 3rd wanted for naruto. even nagato revived the whole village because he believed in naruto!! is that someone you want to keep behind the scenes?? HELL NO! they will be regretting it very soon, because of yamato's capture.

but anyways, what good is that, when hes stupid enough to follow an OBVIOUS diversion... chasing a pawn is the stupidest thing you can do.

you cant just sit there and fling off techniques and think youre a ninja.
she missed every damn time. being a ninja means being smart and PLANNING your attacks, like kakashi does, not being a moron like some people...

I totally saw this coming. I figured he would have one of each eye.
That is super smart. Now he has both technique lists... madara is scary as hell now. i feel REALLY bad for yamato, im not sure hes gonna be alright. the sharingan has the most deadly genjutsu one can imagine. remember what realm itachi put kakashi into? and kakashi was a sharingan user...madara is probably equally frightening..plus kabuto is treading on thin ice if he thinks madara is going to be played for a fool for too much longer."then get to work!" thats his patience running thin. also, for all you people out there still confused about his mask... that is not a hole, it is a depiction of the sharingan on top of a rinnengan. the two eye slots and the extra spot up top are the sharingan and the lines that go in a circle around everything are the rinnengan...
i should also point this out...it seems 2 sharingan give you susanoo, 2 rinnengans give you the demon that nagato summoned....
what do you think 1 sharingan and 1 rinnengan give you??? ::evil music plays eerily in the background::

great chapter, very depressed there isnt one next week, but i can wait.
this story is WELL worth waiting for. i cant wait to see whats next.

also... i didnt see anything wrong with deidaras eyes.
as always he has the left eye covered by hair or closed shut.
and the right eye gets all maniacal looking whenever he explodes something.
thats the shadowing you see in the two times he explodes something.
