I dunno I could see maybe.. Him getting the EMS in battle and it has something to do with the eyes of the sage and body coming together... I could see it.. I would be disappointed though..

I personally think it has something to do with showing sasuke the light. It couldnt be anything to kill sasuke as Itachi would never do that. But in the back of my mind I just think the "gift" is just a metaphor

Interesting thought, but I doubt it. I doubt that Kishimoto would give his main character one of the strongest powers thats been discussed that way.
