"It is free" is no good reason for me. I mean you can get anything for free..

I'm using GIMP, cuz' it's easy to use it.... Before I used Photoshop, but I lost the program, getting a new one is little expensive, so now I'm using GIMP....

+ sides: Free.... Lot's of brushes, plug-ins, tutorials....

I use photoshop for homework, since in school, they only use photoshop. so yeah.

They are both very good, and in my opinion, GIMP is easier to use.
